I really tried to like your store

When you first opened, I was really excited. "Classy place," I remember thinking, "Now that my other favourite place is gone, maybe THIS will be MY STORE."

So I tried. On every possible buying and gift-giving occassion, I went to your store first, when I could have just as easily gone to the internet.

You had nice stuff, a good variety, and the place was cool in an older, more sophisticated way, rather than a teen-age way. I liked that.

But EVERY FUCKING TIME I went in there, YOU ALWAYS TURNED MY QUESTIONS/REQUESTS INTO AN ARGUMENT.

Ya know, when someone asks if you have "X", the correct response is "yes" or "no", not a snarky "I've never heard of that, so I am sure it must not exist, and even if it did exist it wouldn't be any good anyway."

At first, I thought it was just me—hey, I know I can take things too personally sometimes—but NO! My friends mentioned you did this to them too! Not just once, but ALL THE TIME!!!!

Just because you are from Ontario doesn't mean that every customer in Halifax is an ignorant rube who needs to be "corrected" on their misinformed tastes.

So, I'm sad to hear it didn't work out for you here in NS. And I'm sorry Christmas Eve was a disaster for everyone in retail, but you must have known that you couldn't make a go of it by deliberatley driving the customers away. Kind of obvious.
