Earth Day was recently upon us and I saw haligonian "hippies" had formed a group prompting "Earth friendly" activity and "awareness" in our own commons. Drum circles, hooping and overall fun was had by all but I was later informed that these people were using styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery that littered the commons during their "Earth friendly" gathering. A day later, I walked though the commons noticing dozens of posts left from these people promoting fresh water with laminated (less decomposable) fish hanging from them promoting Earth day. I am fully supportive of Earth friendly activities and do everything I can through recycling, composting and purchasing of Earth friendly products but I think these "hippies" should consider their effects on mother Earth, considering I'm out collecting all of the garbage they created to promote Earth awareness. —Fellow Earthling
