Half Cop/Half Scofflaw
Recently I have seen several cases of police vehicles (very clearly in NON-EMERGENCY situations) that are illegally parked. And no, I am not talking about overtime on a parking meter. Examples? (1) Parking on the wrong side of the street i.e. facing the wrong direction, (2) Parking in a fire lane, and (3) Numerous instances of parking in the double yellow zone next to a handicapped parking space.
I am not a cop hater and I get that there are good and bad in any occupation, but what I don't get is why they do this repeatedly and then whine on that they get so little respect from such a significant segment of the population. —Sorry Officer, I Keep Forgetting You are Above the Law
