I am going to be working in customer service for probably my whole career. I have a job for now and I am in school currently but when I get out I am still going to be working with people in customer service, just in a different field. Regardless of where I have worked I have always been yelled at (or witnessed my co-workers being yelled at) by customers who don't get their way. Grown-ass people throw tantrums in a store, in public with other customers around. Are you for real people?

Tonight I was unable to assist a customer because of something out of my hands. I would probably have been able to help them out tomorrow but I needed to confirm importunate things with THEIR information but because the office is closed and no one answered the phone I couldn't confirm it for them. What did I get when I told the customer I couldn't help them tonight...I got called an ugly bitch and a dirty cunt.

I told the guy off! I swore right back at him but honestly I hate being aggressive with people, I hate raising my voice but I hate being called nasty things more. I will always stand up for myself. If you don't get what you want it's usually not really the customer service reps fault they are most likely just doing their job. I think people need to calm the fuck down and stop yelling at each other. -Ugly Bitch
