They didn't like when they were moved out of the area many years ago in the name of progress, but they sure don't mind doing the same thing to the dogs. My understanding is our city council granted the land to this malcontent group, a few years back thus selling out every taxpayer who owns a dog. They don't like dogs being in "their" park, "saying what other park/national historic site, can dogs go without leash?" To which I would reply, what other park/national historic site can you turn into a campground for a weekend?
I believe our elected friends have and are in the process of further selling us out. At the very least our "competent council" had better make an viable alternative for the dog owners, before they ban them from the park. We, as taxpayers (if nothing else) need to seriously consider this lack of representation for the next election. -Ruff Rough
