I am from India.. where we get healthcare in a jiffy. Its just impossible to see how doctors treat patients... I go to a doctor regarding a abscess. I do this after being treated like shit by doctors here who are ignorant and don't give a damn about patients. So.. the first walkin clinic I go to.. The doctor looks at it and does nothing.. tells me it will go away.. after a couple of weeks, I go to another walkin clinic. this doctor is aggressive in treatment, I thought so.. he got my blood work done and put on very high outdated antibiotics for 10 days.. nothing happens and my abscess is oozing pus. I go back to him and he puts me on the next stronger antibiotics.. and tell me If this does not work I have to see a infectious disease specialist. So, I ask him if I can see him and he is like, you can see any doctor here. I get pissed.. Why the fuck, can't we go to one doctor so that he is able to carry the treatment through. So finally - I go to a third doctor.. he openly tells me he has not seen anything like this and will refer me to a surgeon. I am waiting now for about 2 months for a referral and NOTHING.. How do people even live here beats me. Finally, I look up and see that my abscess is nothing but a ingrown hair and is now almost healed.. If this were a serious issue - how the hell in the world, can I expect my best interests be taken care of by the stupid healthcare system here.. Beats me... —A pissed person
