Silence is NOT golden.
Really? Not a single peep? I didn't have any specific expectations for what you would say, but I did expect you to say something. Like "Sorry it all fell apart that way." Or "I'm working my own stuff out; hope things work out for you too." Even "Hey, just wanted to acknowledge your existence. Maybe see you around." Because hey, we probably will see each other around. And when that happens, beware. You are a selfish prick. —No more sweet dreams.
