Too little. Too late.
Why would you tell him Santa isn't real, especially a month before Christmas? Maybe you don't understand him like I do, and I guess I can forgive you for that. It might be easy to look at him and say, "Well he's 13 years old, obviously he should know that Santa isn't real.” But here's the thing; just because he's 13 on the outside, doesn't mean he's 13 on the inside. Stop trying to force kids to grow up—stop trying to take away their imagination. I see a lot of myself in him, and the same thing was done to me when I was his age. “Grow up, stop watching cartoons, act your age, et cetera,” and believe me, you don't want him to turn out the way I did. —iCare
