To the family who decided to leave their mother/grandmother in an ER for nine days: I'm truly sorry that you have the task of caring for a loved one with dementia. That's not easy financially, physically or emotionally. However, that does not even begin to excuse you for leaving your grandmother/mother to sit in an ER for nearly nine full days. During that nine days your selfish and irresponsible decision took staff, resources and time away from actual emergencies and from the patients who actually required emergency care. I felt truly sickened by your disgusting lack of regard for your own family member and your total disrespect for the work of the ER staff. —I Hope Florida Was Fun
