Why do people who work in certain pizza shops think it's alright to have a complete lack of manners and customer service? Taking my order of the phone and just being such a fuckface about it that I actually cancel my order? —Last Time You Hear From This West-Ender

Can't the teachers and government come together? Come on guys!  Maybe each side could give a little. How about this: One percent a year for wages to keep up with inflation; Keep the long service award but have a reasonable size of payout by either capping it or else paying a certain dollar amount for each year of service ($365 for each year worked). No service award should be higher than the annual salary of the average working Nova Scotian or the amount earned by someone making minimum wage in a year; Teachers should pay some of their retirement health benefits (25 percent) because that's only fair as other public sector workers have to pay something. I think we need a little 'labour peace of mind' in the province, which means being fair while not bankrupting us to get there. Hey Coast, how about running an online survey about what people think is a fair offer for the teachers for: wage increases, maximum  long service award payout and the percent teachers should pay for retirement health benefits? —Two Cents Worth

Bike lanes? Bike lanes?! Sidewalks and side streets forks—cyclists, yield to pedestrians—cars, yield to everything. And if you are not of the presence of mind to do so, simply get off the road. Bike lanes...get outta here. —Michael

What do you do with a problem that everyone is responsible for, but no one wants to commit to? Most people forget about it, but plastic accumulation is a growing issue that will soon be difficult to ignore. Focused on climate change this catastrophe is usually pushed aside and hidden from the public. However, this is not a new issue nor should people be surprised by it. Practically everything we own is made of plastic. All of which eventually ends up in the sea, one way or another. Today, nearly a quarter of our oceans is covered in plastic! But who is responsible? Whose fault is it that ingested plastic is suffocating thousands of marine animals to death? Everyone, I say, from the biggest manufactures, to every person who throws away plastic. Even you, it's time we find ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. —Natasha Mintenko

To all those self-entitled jerks that feel they are so special they can ignore the law and park right in front of the HarbourView apartments after 4pm (during rush hour) and hold up an entire lane of traffic on Portland Street so as to avoid your precious car: Screw you. You couldn't be bothered to park around the corner and walk? Why should you expect people to miss bus connections or arrive late to pick up their children because you couldn't shuffle your lazy butt a few hundred meters? This causes massive traffic tie ups every time it happens, which is almost daily. —Sick of Self-Entitled Jerks

I read the other day where a man was given parole after just 16 months of a 5 year sentence for committing a sexual assault on a girl. I {as a man} find this appalling. How can any sane individual make this decision?? If you are sentenced to 5 years How can you justify letting being released after only serving about 4% of your sentence??? —discussed

On occasion people will make strong moves based on sound reasons and reduce stress on the healthcare system, reduce their impact on the environment and take themselves out of the animal cruelty eqaution by going vegan. And sometimes a school administrator will hold a crates of meat xmas fundraiser, completely undermining and offsetting the efforts of the good intelligent responsible ones . I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time? Maybe you wolk up one day and said 'you know what is missing in the typical western diet? I feel like people arent eating enough meat. Let's have a crates of meat fundraiser, and we won't even use the small farm, potentially not as abused, potentially not as detrimental meats. We'll source the shitty mass produced meat that ensures the highest level of abuse and the most toxic antibiotics and steroids and who knows what else.' You've clearly got your head up your own ass. I would suggest one of two remedies. 1. Pull your head out, realize the reality of what you are supporting and straighten your shit out. 2. Stick your head in there a little further and make sure that your nose and mouth are fully covered and wait a few minutes and see what happens. We don't need ignorant fools like you moving forward. —Hippie rage

Seriously old people, why do you drive your cars on multiple pain meds and god knows what other types of mind altering, man made chemical pills your gullible souls shoved into your bodies every single retired day?"Doc knows best!"Sure he does love incentives from big pill companies and certainly not your health ok.. You seniors are getting behind the wheel of a giant piece of metal all slowed down hesitating into slow motion, can't even turn your necks to look both ways backing up or turning due to past ailments and other health issues because of PRESCRIPTION PILLS. Then you old brainwashed motherfuckers have the nerve to spout off about Trudeau legalization of marijuana and worried about "safe roads" and needing some type of breathalyzer????HA! HA! Blows my fucking mind. Some of the worst drivers on the road who are on all sorts of medications a.k.a DRUGS! with some even having horrible side effects including death.......Yet you go on and on about evil marijuana and how bad the roads will be when it is legalized hahahahaa! IDIOTS! The roads are already bad BECAUSE OF YOU and YOUR LEGAL PILLS! Not "the stoners" as you call it based on your 1950's caveman education system of the day. The ones driving on weed right this day are in fact driving better and always have been driving better than you brain washed seniors who think the sky will fall since a Conservative politician told you so. Get off the drugs your doc pushed on you and turn in your drivers licenses before you kill someone who has an entire life of pot smoking ahead of them ye'old Conservative rats. Time fixes everything, you will all be extinct soon. Drink up! —Gravedigger

On Sunday ,Nov., 6 at about 1 PM, I took my wife to Emergency with a gallbladder attack and we sat there until 5 PM. She was crying in pain, as we watched the usual Sunday crowd of drunks and junkies come and go , laughing, playing with their phones and high fiving. When I got tired of this I asked the nurse when she would get in and was told " when her turn comes" a while latter I told her I was taking my wife to Halifax Emergency she said " I don't care " . We left about 5 with out my wife being seen , she had gallbladder surgery Tuesday. Advice to anybody on the Dartmouth side, it's just a short drive over the bridge to better service. —Un Happy Tax Payer
