In the spirit of African Heritage Month, I'd like to point out that many drug stores (even the high-traffic one on Spring Garden) with beauty and hair care aisles are failing Black women in this city. I have hair, and it's beautiful, too. At least once a month I forget that you forgot me, and stop in to buy hair products before I remember half-way up the stairs that Black hair doesn't exist in this store. The others aren't better: stop forcing me to vacillate between the diaper isle and the hair care aisle when I need hair products. My hair exists, and it doesn't belong with the diapers. —Like you don’t need my money
