Dear Bitchers,
Some of you are so funny. I love your funny names. Like Farts Mahoney. Where do you come up with this stuff? Thanks for being so creative and grouchy.

On the Sunday evening of the NHL All Star game my co-worker and I were heading home after a shift. When what should happen but her axle breaks in the middle of turning from Queen onto Sackville! To the guy in the white car who let us use his cell for 15 minutes, to the mechanic who after seeing our mishap dropped his lady off at work and came back to check on us and to the tow-truck driver who abandoned his dinner to come to our rescue: Thanks!! You rocked our socks and had us home in time for the puck drop!!

I dropped about 400 dollars out of my wallet and onto the sidewalk, without even noticing. Seconds later a guy runs up and hands me my cash back. Three words:
I
LOVE
YOU.
What more perfect story for a love section eh?

I think my mom deserves some recognition. She is very caring and giving to her family and strangers, but especially people down on their luck. Many times it backfires and she ends up with egg on her face for trusting the ones people say you shouldn't trust, giving a job to a known thief, or a welfare mom who never could hold a job, but she does it for compassion and belief in a second chance and who should criticize that? She has stopped and bought coffee for every street person on a block when she was going bankrupt, because how could she not? Her life long message has been "It feels good to give". I hope others can learn from her like I have.

He broke my heart and try as I might to deny it, it hurt. You saw past the brave front I was putting on for everyone else and told me it was okay to let go and let it out. You said that if I ever needed a safe place to stop pretending, I could count on you. When I'm too weary from carrying everyone else's secrets and troubles, you're the only one to say I can come to you for support. It's been months now and I've been coming to you for laughs and advice, comfort and release. I've been able to become the person I wanted to be. I owe you a lot of gratitude. You've become the best friend I was missing. I hope you know how much you mean to me.

Dearest Scooty,
Second time is the charm? I love our Sunday mornings in bed, Weeds marathons on our couch, and how you always give me the option of top or bottom every weekday morning. I have even grown to love your brand. I am glad that you can still love me even when I throw out your ripped boxers, bite you too hard, poke you too much, insist on watching Jon and Kate, and shrink your gym pants. Thank you for everything that you do for me, and for us.
Happy Valentine's Day, babe.

Recently, my car was stuck on ice in my driveway. My friendly neighbour tried to salt and push, then a couple passing by with their truck offered to tow! My faith in good samaritans is renewed!

...in front of that church.
I walked past you struggling to keep my footing and balance with my coffee and my bag. It was refreshing to not only have another woman make eye contact, but to flash such a nice smile in my direction rather than look away. It woke me up from my sleepy state better than that coffee could have. Halifax does have beautifully confident women after all.....I stand corrected ;-)
