I am always grateful to be able to grab a copy of the Coast or visit on line. Like a comfortable old friend and a good cup of coffee, the Coast is always there; covering both mainstream and alternative news and happenings; bitches + loves, blogs rants news opinions, etc
Can anyone tell me if theres a forum/message board/blog whatever for threads somewhere midway on the spectrum between loves and bitches ? Sometimes I just want to comment on, or query, some local event / situation / whatever; I dont want to bitch about it or praise it, just open the topic for comment or discussion; like whats the clear cutting for thats going on on both sides the BiHi between Kearney Lake Road and Hammonds Plains Road? or a good book I just finished?
Is there a forum in the Coast (or somewhere else) for that; or is there enough interest to create one? Thanks.

You are awesome. One day, I was on my way to a doctor's appointment - feeling pretty bummed, knew I was going to get bad news. You were so affable and courteous to every single person who boarded your bus - the nicest touch was to address every female passenger as "My lady". Coming from a person who obviously has a good heart, that familiarity - yes, even on public transit - is appreciated and encouraged! Thank you! So sweet!!

I didn't know you were the one until it was too late. Now I miss the many moments we had together that until now I didn't realize how special they were. First I had to find my way and then that was your line, perhaps someday we will travel the same path again and find one another but until then you remain...my "friend".

I walk the MacDonald bridge to work and back every day. All winter it is the safest surface to walk in my trip. Thank you for keeping it so well salted and clear, and for watching out for any people who may need intervention on the bridge. You even shuttle walkers across when the winds are too high. It must all be a difficult and thankless job at times, but I appreciate it, and I'm sure the other smiling pedestrians I meet do too.

To the Yellow Cab driver who wrote to my family after my Dad (fellow cabbie) died in January, and who also came to his funeral: I don't know who you are, but I just wanted to let you know that every time I call a cab I wonder if it will be you who picks me up. We'll probably never meet, but it makes me feel a little less alone and I really appreciate what you did.
Thanks :)

To the person living in the woods behind the Kent building in Bayers Lake. Props to you for sticking it out in the woods there in your handmade tent. Maybe you're on hard times maybe this is you choice. Either way, you made my friends and my own day a couple weeks ago when we stumbled across your campsite.

To the fellow who picked us up in his car at Burger King at Yonge and Robie on a cold night a few weeks ago because the restaurant had closed at midnight and they wouldn't let walk-thrus through the drive-thru window, and then drove us all the way home to the South End: thanks for doing it. That was totally awesome! But I think I left my mittens in your car.

Thanks for creating a "love" space, especially in the weekly print version. You guys don't encourage only bitching after all! Way to change the game and make me eat my words. Smooch.
