Thanks very much to the awesomely kind blonde haired cashier that went way out of her way to try to fix my glasses a couple weeks ago... The lens fell out of my glasses and you kindly offered, and then attempted to repair my glasses so I could actually see.You are an awesome human being and I hope your boss recognizes that you are a huge asset to his business. I really do appreciate you going out of your way to try to assist me.

I'm home from school (dal)For the summer in Ontario. Drivers here are lunatics. I'm Always telling my friends how amaziny kind haligonians are and talk about it like it's my place of birth. I love it. My friend was up at his cottage and was walking across a deserted walmart parking lot in the middle of no where. He found himself in front of an 18 wheeler that had just started up and gotten into gear and was ready to set out ( it's hard to start those up) instead of motoring on in front of him the truck stopped and waived him on. Remembering the stories I had told him, my friend just smiled and was not surpised when he looked back and saw the rigs liscence plate - nova scotia with a dartmouth sticker. Thanks to the drivers of Halifax and to all haligonians ... Just for being so amazing.

I know you deal with lots of drunk idiots in your line of work - sorry for being one of them on Friday night. I was the chick who had no idea I sliced my foot open on the dance floor until the end of the night - I just wanted to say thanks for helping me out and wrapping my foot up. In case you're wondering the cut wasn't as bad as all that blood made it look.

You really put your heart and soul into it. Even those of us in the cheap (free) seats on the other side of the fence had a great view and acoustics. There must have been as many outside the fence as inside. Took me back to that Monday morning after the first Ed Sullivan show, and all the talk in the schoolyard.

Planning an awesome camper van trip of your fine land! Will be there the first week in August and can't wait. Love The Coast too! I will be easy to recognize, hot red head with an even hotter firefighter with a smokin bod on my arm. We plan on learning how to party the Halifax way. See you soon.

a few weeks ago i hauled a pile of old paint cans to the bin doctor recycling centre on clifton. the weather was awful and i had an infant in the car. as i got out a man came over and offered to help. he unloaded the car with me, and then took my stuff into the depot, saying he knew his way around there well. he wouldn't take anything for his help. just today, i was around the corner at halifax glass & mirror on north... twice. i was looking for a pane of glass that i hadn't expected to find anywhere. not only did they have it, they cut it for me on the spot... free. when i got home i realized i'd measured wrong. i called, and they cut me a new piece, free again. there is clearly such thing as the kindness of strangers.

I love the Halifax library system and all its branches. So many books, magazines - all free - and excellent online functions for putting things on hold. I've enjoyed so much reading and learning over the years and for someone who can't stand to own a whole bunch of stuff, reading your books and watching your movies and then returning them is the most wonderful thing. I can't think of a better place for public money than the library. Well, healthcare is good too :)

I've lived in other Canadian cities, and nothing compares to Halifax's system.

Thank you!

Thanks, guys, for all the tips you give me when I serve you. Because of you, I've been using my debit less and having more money all together.

I love working on Spring Garden Road and observing the gorgeous and interesting looking people walking by on my lunch break. You're all so addicting, and make my break more enjoyable. Thank you.
