to my cat: I love you. Last night you caught and ate a month that was terrorizing me and this morning you are hunting a house fly. Thank you!
---the human who feeds you and scoops your shit in returnYou faithfully hand me the paper and get in "have a good day" before I do. You make my morning every morning...so thank you!
On a sad note - I move in 2 weeks and wont get to walk by you m-f :(
---PublicGardens GirlTo all my awesome neighbours and the bystanders in and around my street Wednesday night who offered assistance after my dog got attacked by two others. Thankfully there are no injuries, but lots of shaken nerves and tears. Thanks for making sure we were o.k. and checking up with us afterwards. Its great knowing I live around such caring people! Maryle sends you all lots of sloppy kisses and promises you'll see her smiling face around the hood in no time!
---Doggie Mom & DadThank you visiting NDPers for filling up our patio and being so generous in spirit and tippage. Best of luck bringing positive change to Ottawa and with your blue collar - green policy activist initiatives. Kisses to Alexa and Megan.
---the argyle patioWhen I pulled into the gas station yesterday, a truck arrived at the same time--he signaled me to go first.
When I was waiting to pull out of the gas station, a car stopped and signaled me to pull into the lane.
And, when I stopped at the traffic light, a different car pulled up beside me to tell me that I had forgot to put my gas cap on.
Three separate, considerate acts in the space of ten minutes!
It meant a lot to me, because when I first moved to Halifax 25 years ago, I was thrill with how considerate and generous the people were in traffic. Everyone worked together. I told people, Halifax is the biggest, small town in Canada (due to their values, courtesy and friendliness). I haven't said this for some time.
Yesterday made me remember why I loved Halifax in the first place. Thank you.
---HopefulThere was a note from "No, I Do Not Play Basketball" about short women dating tall guys and she was a tall woman.I kind of agree with you about the vertically challenged staying with the vertically challenged. I am 6'2" tall. It is so hard to find a a tall woman to match up, someday I will find her. Get a hold of me if you wish.
---Looking For A Tall OneThanks to whoever cleaned up the graffiti at the little park on the corner of fuller terrace and ontario street. I've been looking at that eyesore on the brick walkway and playground equipment most of the summer. Kids deserve a playground free of graffiti! And it makes my walk to work that much nicer :)
Clean Park LoverFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you to the two people who stopped at the scene of a hit and run Friday night on Duffus Street. Because of you, I know what happened to my cat. Because of you, I know he didn't suffer for long. I had the chance to say good-bye and I love you before he slipped away. You are kind. Thank you.
---In loving memory of ErnieJust wanted to send some love to the people who speak up and send some love to the HRP. They do a hard dangerous job and people with a complaint always seem to be the only ones who speak up so it nice to see them get their props when they are due.
To those who appreciate what the HRP do, thanks for not keeping it to yourself and speaking up.
---John Q public.Just wanted to give some props to the cops taking care of the undead at Zombiewalk! Making sure cars didn't run us over was a cool thing.
