A Huge Thank You to the people both paid and especially volunteers, who are staffing the Flu assessment centers.
The commissionaires at the the forum were hillarious. A big Get well soon to the little guy with his Mom and her friend, going in to his second week of yuckiness.

It’s Veterans Week and I’d like to thank Elegant Touch Salon on Quinpool Road. They have a Remembrance Day display and it’s nice to see active remembrance. In today’s 24/7 digital age it’s easy to be engrossed in our own lives and I appreciate the time they took to be taking action and helping us all reflect on what November 11 means.

To the guys at If Only Surf Shop... THANK YOU!!! I forgot my sweater at your shop and you kept it for me for weeks! I have been living out of a suitcase for over two months now and, with snow in the forecast and it being my warmest sweater, am delighted to have it back! :)

Lots of love to share: First to the organizers of the Samhain ritual on Saturday night - Thank you very much for putting it together once again - As a solitary pagan in this city its great to be able to come together in public and celebrate our 'special day' ( Which is the Celtic New Year byw) And loving the fact the Public Gardens are still open and still beautiful in their fall colours. Last but not least - Loving the fact that Annies' Place on Birminingham Street has been with us for seven years - thanks for all the great coffee, food and belly dancing ( ya gotta be there !) Take care and all the best for another seven!!

There were a lot of things I knew I'd miss about Nova Scotia when I ventured off to Onterrible - the ocean, the character of the architecture, the farmer's market, etc. to name just a few - but this is a shout out to BEN'S BREAD. There isn't much I wouldn't do for some of Ben's Holsum Fresh 100% Whole Wheat Bread right now. Mmmm, so soft.

Dear Halifax,
You are the city for me. Although I am three provinces away from you, I adore you and the province you live in. I love your ocean and salty air. I love your independent stores and shows and the unique Maritime greetings. I love your known strangers on Spring Garden and your casual street performers on Quinpool. I love the open fields in the middle of the city, right next to that ginormous hill, we like to call the Citadel. Thank you to leaving up old High Schools, so that when I come back I can have even more memories to to remember. Thank you for your tiny streets and one ways that make downtown confusing and making everything that much more exciting. I can't thank you even more for having lovely people to come back home too, with that familiar easy going Maritimer love. I even love your never on time bus routes. Thank you for being so friendly and laid back and familiar. I miss you, East Coast....
See you for some Christmas Lovin'.

Whomever found my HMV bag in the washroom at the MicMacMall and turned it into the lost and found, thank you for not keeping it for yourself!

I just want to thank all of the pateint, kind, and hilarious patrons who decided to stop into my place of work for a late night bite to eat before, during, or after your Halloween parties.
It was an incredibly stressfull night, but the fact that so many of you were so understanding about your sometimes 10+ minute waits for "fast food", and that you were so entertaining to serve, made it a whole lot more fun, and it made the not-so nice-customers much easier to deal with.
A special thanks goes out to the cops who made it there so qucikly when we had some trouble, as well.

To the doctor at the walk-in clinic: Thanks for telling me to leave the clinic with my doctors note in my pocket (so I wouldn't have to pay for it). It was a pleasant break from the usual bureaucracy, and I did enjoy that coffee on you!
---Now excused from work.
