I just crossed the old bridge and noticed that somehow, at some point, when I didn't notice, someone convinced someone to extend the "anti suicide" guard rails ALL the way across the bridge. I was so pleased, it made me smile. Thanks!

I just want to thank the owner of Video Difference. He spread Christmas cheer to me on this very cold day. I happened to lock my keys inside my car with it running while returning a movie to the drop box at Vid. Dif. in Bedford. By chance the owner happened to be there and offered to drive me home so I could pick up my spare keys. Thank you Thank you Thank you!! So lovely. It would have been a long walk home in the minus 13 weather.

I have been having problems walking for months. A few nights ago I was in back/hip agony and even with only a 15 minute walk I desperately needed to take a taxi home. I jumped in the taxi and the driver asked how I was. I said: "In Pain". He was so sympathetic and kind. How terrible for me and debilitating etc. Half way home I asked it he took VISA. He didn't, so I apologized and asked if he wanted me to go upstairs and get some money for him. He then said: "No, that's too much trouble for you. The ride is free!!" There are good people in this world. Thanks, taxi man!

I just wanted to say I fall in love everyday here in Halifax. There are so many beautiful women coming and going downtown from dawn 'til dusk, and it makes my day to see all of you. Sitting at a coffee shop...you're there. Christmas shopping...you're there too! At work...jackpot. I find on average one woman each day that I think to myself "Man, if I woke up next to her every morning, I would live a happy life..."
I hope half of you are as nice as you look, because then I could honestly say Halifax is a great place with great people.
Now, if only I could just meet one of you... ;)

Since I met you, my life has gotten better, I just want you to know. It was seeming pretty bleak there for a while; living alone, working that crappy job and being poor. Somehow you make those things seem so far away.
I think about you when I'm falling asleep and when I wake up. I know you've had a rough time lately too and I want you to know how proud I am with how you're dealing with things. I'm with you every step of the way.
The holidays are coming and though we'll both be away, I'll still feel you in my heart and be looking forward in anticipation of the moment we reunite.
I'm such a lucky guy.
I love you with all of my heart.

So I had to move out to Toronto for an internship in my field. Recently my dad was sent to halifax for emergency heart operation, he will be in hospital for over two weeks when all is said and done. I wanted to fly home but couldn't afford it.
Thank you for my church angels, some individuals in the church came together and bought me a plane ticket to go and be with my dad. I am so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I get to first be with my dad while he is in hospital and secondly I get to see my family for Christmas.
Also, thank you to my friends who are letting me stay at their apartment for the 10 days I am in Halifax.
---Ever grateful.

To home owners and renters - thank you so much for leaving you Christmas lights on later into the night .. When I leave work its late and I am usually feeling pretty low; but lately seeing your trees, porches, windows and such all lit up against the cold dark brings a smile to me and a sense of light and joy inside so thank you again for the smile on the outside and the warmth I feel inside. By the time I get home, I am feeling so much better
