A good friend of mine recently passed away. He was a wonderful person, and also a wonderful teacher. Now that he is gone, many students have created a facebook page, remembering him, writing kind things about him, etc.

While this is great, I can't help but wonder how many of them told him how thankful they were, and how wonderful they thought he was while he was alive.

Why is it that we have a hard time complimenting people and telling them our life is better because they are in it?

The death of my very healthy, 57 year old marathon running friend, reminds me, should remind ALL of us that we don't know when our expiry date is.

My challenge to you is to pay someone a compliment today. Tell them how special they are to you. What are you waiting for?
