Thank you to all the fans sitting near us during the AUS basketball tournament last weekend. It was my 7 year old son's first chance to see basketball at the Metro center. It was the best bonding experience I could ask for. He got to cheer his little heart out, boo, clap, yell. He got to dance in the seats, win prizes. He got to sit on my lap and get sleepy and tell me it was the best night ever. Yet despite all his jumping yelling and more there were nothing but smiles from the fans around us, the lovely girls at the booth security at the Metro centre, and even the slightly drunk university girl who bumped into him and then kissed him on the head to say she was sorry.
It's people like that that make it worth it to come out and not just watch the games on TV. It's people like that who give us such great memories. Hope to see you all again at the CIS championships. You made our weekend great. THANKS! —Basketball Father
