Dark hair, mysterious sultry eyes, working at the convenience store on St. Margaret's Bay road. Absolutely, heart-stoppingly beautiful—you're brilliant as the moonlight. —Wanderingheart

While I've come to absolutely embrace my dykeness, right about now I wish I was straight, as I have the biggest, hugest crush on you! Why, oh why do you have to be so effing fantastic AND have a penis?! —Not Gay for a Day

To the brunette at a local shopping mall "safe" jewelry store... Wow! You make me forget everything and just want to camp out in front of your store. You're a real hottie! —Shy Guy

Just sending some love to you. I cried when I heard of the hate directed towards you. So many admire your strength, beauty, sense of humour, kindness and trueness to self. Stay strong and remember you are loved. —An Anonymous Admirer

While visiting Halifax on business on June 8th, 2011, I had a nasty fall. Three kind samaritans came to my assistance, called 911, located a coworker and stayed with me until I was transported. Many thanks to them, the paramedics and the staff at the infirmary. Thank you to everyone for your kind assistance in my time of need. —Visitor

I thought that you just gave out books
and sometimes quite cute, funny looks.
Yet at roller derby,
just like with my Furby,
I wanted you so bad I shook.

Halifax's first Roller Derby event... wow... I was entirely overwhelmed by all of you, the organizers, volunteers, supporters, the whole freaking crowd was WOW! Every last one of you! My heart is filled with such joy. I am pumped for the next bout later this summer at the BMO center in Bedford! All the best and I love every single one of you. We lost but only by score; we won in every single other way possible! —Derby Fan #1
