Read in the paper today that two clowns got nabbed for vandalizing a pile of businesses on Quinpool, an 18 and a 19 year old. Their 'art' basically amounted to them 'throwing up' their tags all over the place. I forget how much damage they did but apparently it was in about 30 places or so. Feeling smug now, punks? —Cranky

You made my day at the grocery and liquor store yesterday. Maybe I'll meet you at the bread rack again someday. —Black Mercedes Jacket

I lost a good buddy tonight. He passed away out of the blue. I was in the house and I did not know. A little black and white cat called Preston. I called him Buckaroo and my wife called him Little Man. He was a bright spot in our lives and he will not be forgotten. Breakfast at five in the morning won't be the same without you. Godspeed Buckaroo, I will miss you. For Preston, give your pets a hug tonight. Brokenhearted. —D&W

Last Tuesday (July 12th) my ex took the kids to see the new Transformers movie in Sackville. With time to kill before the show, my boys decided to run into a sporting goods store. While there the younger of the two (11 yrs) decided he wanted to purchase a ballcap. However, when the cashier rang it through, he found out he did not have enough money on his debit card. The man standing behind him in line BOUGHT him the hat!
I just wanted to give a public shout out and THANK YOU to that gentleman. I have no idea who you were, and most likely will never know, but in case you see this, I wanted you to know that his mother (me) was SHOCKED that you did that. Pleasantly so, of course. You made a little boy VERY happy that day. Although, had I been there... I wouldn't have let you.
Thank you, sir. I appreciate your kindness towards my son. And he thanks you for the hat. —Hat Mom

You work at the check out desk at a library in Dartmouth. I stop in every Tuesday night on my way home from work just to see you smile. You have perfect red hair and freckles. I think you are so cute. I am way too nervous to talk to you, but I hope you notice me. —A Guy Can Dream

To the barista guy on Spring Garden, I was having a crap day and was absolutely exhausted. You not only suggested an amazing drink to pick me up, you gave me an extra glass of it for free. I made it home without falling asleep thanks to you! —Caffeine Chick

Jeopardy wasn't the same without you tonight, I barely knew any of the answers.
I hope you have a wonderful time at home for the remainder of the summer. I can't wait to reunite in the fall in the big city where we can do lots of fun things - even though I thoroughly enjoyed the past 12 weeks of watching Jeopardy, going for walks, exploring different hiking trails and making delicious meals with you. Oh, and perfecting our Frisbee skills.
You're such a wonderful friend and a beautiful person. Snowy and I are lucky to have you. —1% Milk Ain't So Bad

To the woman in the red car at South and Robie who took advantage of the red light and me pushing a stroller to offer me the diapers she was getting rid of. It was a welcome gift... our diaper days are on the wane in this household but it sure was nice to not have to pay for the last few! —Mama of Gooses
