I don't know if it was too little sleep or just too many doubles the Halloween before Friday, but I was a mess on Grafton. Someone went to buy me a bottle of water so my boyfriend didn't have to leave me alone (as I vomited on my boots and cried), so a big thank you to you, kind stranger, and to the other lovely guy who hailed us a cab.
It makes me happy to know we live in a city where people will go out of their way for a hot mess on the sidewalk when they could have walked by/pointed and laughed.

It may not have made it on The Best Of list, but as far as educated teachers go, all you have to do is take a class with the senior teachers there to see the huge difference between a certain Spring Garden location and other studios... their knowledge is profound and never are their classes generic... you always learn/try something new! —elusivefreeman

I have MS (I know big whoop). However, over the past year or so, my ability is not perfect (whatever). But I continue to walk. And this is where the story starts.
The other day I was walking (with my Nordic Poles - love them) from the Halifax Infirmary to the IWK (I know what am I bitching about, but for me it was like running 10 full marathons). Needless to say, by the time I arrived at the corner of Spring Garden and Summer - my legs had had it. I tripped and fell (oops). Nothing untoward, but fell. I got up and waited for the lights to change to walk across the street. I did with a bit more difficulty. AND THEN out of the blue behind me, I heard "Be proud of yourself." It was from a guy in a car that was turning.
I cried the rest of the way.
