To the men and women of EHS and the Fire Department that showed up to my home in Eastern Passage in the wee hours of December 8th moments after I gave birth to my son. Thank you SO much for being there! I was still off in La-La Land when we arrived at the IWK but I did notice the teddy bear you gave my son - it's his very first one. Thank you, thank you for all you do; not just for helping me. I know that many a times the calls in which you guys/gals receive don't always end on a happy note. KUDOS! —Thanks For Closing the Front Curtains "Just a Smidge"

To the super decorated house near Connaught and Jubilee: you have blown the competition out of the water with you 'Christmas-Vacation-esque' decorating! I now make a special trip on my way downtown so that I can enjoy your over-the-top but tastefully done Christmas decorations. The Nova Scotia Power employees must appreciate their Christmas bonus - courtesy of your awesome Christmas spirit! —A Jealous Clark Griswold

Thank you to the incredibly considerate man who stopped to help me when I found my stolen bike on Spring Garden Road. You called the police for me and let me use your cellphone because I don't have one. My bike is finally safe at home and my heart has been warmed by your kindness. What a funny coincidence that you had just found your stolen bike as well. It's people like you that make Halifax such a great city to live in! —Stolen Bikes Coincidence

To the little blondie at the IWK. You broke my heart when you left the other hospital. Now to my surprise I see you again still the same cutie, always paying attention to everything, looking around waiting to do your job, (you do it so well) I spoke to you last week told you I looked forward to seeing you that it makes my day. You looked down at the ground and blushed. It was so cute. I find it hard to believe with the way you look in uniform you don't get compliments more often. For a woman that's very smart, attentive and alert, you're not that bright when someone is hitting on you. Keep your head up, smile more often and know you're HOT!!!!! —Wish Those Rings Weren't There

To the brown haired girl who fills my growler: You probably smile at everyone just as sweetly, but I feel especially special when I'm caught in its glare. I hope everyone is smiling inside as much as I am after talking with you. Keep on shining! —Cute Awkward Boy Attempting to Flirt

You claw away at my darkness, always trying to let the light glimmer in. I'm encased, suffocated by my own anguish, my tomb of horrors, but you smile, warmth melting away at the ice, the anger boiling inside. Your love confuses me. Your love vanquishes, if only just for a moment, my seething self-hatred. Quietly, you've kept me from falling. You balance out this ugliness inside me. Those stupid remarks, your constant guitar/computer bable, your smelly dumps that make our whole apartment smell like a combination of farts and death, and giant man-baby feet. Yes, you have giant, overgrown, baby feet. I swear, I think it's hilarious. You make me giggle even when I'm a face full of snot and salty tears. And you clean up the cat puke, despite not cleaning much else. Don't you ever go away. I need you more than you know. You make me love you when all I want to do is hate you, and blame you more. I heart you, Jib-Jabs. —Yes, I Know, I Bought That Stupid Ceramic Fish

You are the littlest, cutest bear in the world even when you're growling. I'm so happy we get to spend the holidays together. —Your Big Bear

The energy I get from you is crazy. Like I'm on some kind of high. I wish it were the same for you, I wish you were my guy. I'm happy we're friends. I love our coffee nights & movie nights. I'm lucky to have you in my life cause ya make me smile BIG! I hope to catch your heart someday... til then... always friends. —The One & Only Left Handed Blonde

I was at the Mumford Road Bus Terminal yesterday morning around ten twenty-five in the morning. I was waiting for the number nine. One of the bus drivers was sucking on a candy cane. This really turned me on because his tongue was so long that it was all over the candy cane. I only wished that I was the candy cane. —Sticky Mouth
