This girl drives me crazy. She's inspired me in ways I've never known before. She brought hope into my life and it has been the best gift of all. She has the most amazing heart. She doesn't dress slutty for guys; she dresses for herself. She drives a black porsche. She loves getting high. She can't go a day without coffee. She would die twice for her family. She has big dreams. She loves rap music. She's hilarious and she doesn't even try. She's an animal lover. She would give her left arm to end the Canadian seal hunt if she could. She procrastinates but she has ADD. She's brilliant. She always knows the right thing to do. She says she learned everything from her parents. Her closet is filled with designer labels. She's always late but worth the wait. She's not afraid to speak her mind. I hope she never loses sight of what she wants in life because I think she is going to change the world. She's a blessing in disguise. —Secret Admirer

No matter what, I cannot forget you. I fell embarrassed when I have intimate dreams about you because I am married and I think that you are in a wonderful relationship with a beautiful little girl BUT you appear in my head unexpectedly at night even when I am not thinking about anything. When I am having not so hot of a day your silhouette appears in my mind. You are still perfect soo soo macho with your tall body and auburn hair. I know that there is not a chance I ever will meet with you in person even just to be beside you just to touch you. Only in my mind will I ever have you. Do you think that is unfair that before you leave this world that you could not have had a meeting with the one person that you really turned you on in your lifetime. I have a husband but when I reminder our acquaintance three years ago, WHY CANNOT I NOT GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON. Well, I will also remember you in my mind and I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU, YOU ARE MY INTERNAL LOVE. Bye for now and if you know who you are YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. —MY HARLEY FRIEND

Hey. Cool. I am the dad who was quoted last week telling his daughter 'Daddy loves you'. (She is like the sweetest thing since cinnamon buns!) Reading about it made my day. I was surprised more than embarrassed to be caught out. It is now in my daughter's scrapbook. —Dad Cares

I love it! I can't skate worth shit, but everybody's been really nice about skating around me and giving me room. Thank you for being understanding fellow Haligonians! Also, I had one of the best dates ever at the oval.....love you snuggle bunny! —The Glider and Arm Flailer

I love you OVAL! If I wasn't so afraid of being skated into a million pieces, I would lay down and kiss your icy lips. Fuck all the haters, this year, you'll be my valentine. I'll bring the cocoa, you bring that sweet icy goodness. I'll backflip-triple axel-open stroke the shit out of you... right after I learn to stay up. —Elvis Stojko

It's such a joy to watch all the heads bobbing along, people hand in hand, out in the open air. So many of us who haven't laced up a pair of skates since we were kids, now trying not to fall, grinning like idiots. We don't care what they want us to call you, nothing says winter like The Oval. —Ice Queen

THE OVAL!!!! As a naysayers most of the time, I have grown to love what the oval has come to stand for about halifax... Skate police giving individual attention to people that have never skated before is a grand thing. More kudos to those that go out there and want to learn. No concert will ever give HALIFAX what the oval provides. COMMUNITY LOVE. —LearnIng to Skate Upright and Long Time North Ender

It's been 4 years already, which is pretty crazy. We've weathered some pretty serious storms, and continue to go forward. Not quite as clear of sailing as we'd initially thought, but I'm sure we'll be fine as long as we're both on board. We've been around the world and continue to make tracks. I love ya a whole lot and look forward to what comes next... —The Cummer

To the fuzzy haired lady with the great ass who walks up Quinpool Road almost every day – you make me smile every morning. I don’t know if it’s your impeccable sense of style or your strut that says: “I’m hot and I know it”. Rock on, silver fox. Rock on. —Quinpool Creeper
