I miss our 3 minute midnight rides. Our crazy conversation topics always made my day. Aliens, JC, and me smelling like nasty cheese bread. You 'forgetting' to turn down my street. You have no idea how badly I wanted to snuggle you. You're sweeter than the bees knees and cute to boot! Too bad you're twice my age and I don't have an excuse to call a cab anymore. I really hope we run into each other again someday, just as randomly as the first time. —Glitter, Sage and Free Supper

Hey Halifax! I loving you, even though you're confusing me. I'm shy but in no way boring or unlovable. I've been waiting a long long time for some loving and I'm telling you I'm ready to give out, but tell me where you're hiding my man, get him out of the woodwork, so I can tell him how excited I am to meet him and share myself. This great city has to have someone wonderful waiting. —The Incubating One

As I looked upon my bike where I'd left it hours earlier, it finally dawned on me what had been nagging me - I hadn't locked it when I left!!! Not only had nobody stolen it, some kind soul had taken the initiative to drape my locking-chain such that the bike appeared at a glance to be locked. I have no idea how many people were involved in saving me from my own idiocy, but I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It's shit like this that makes me love living here! —Nor'easter

Life just couldn't stop dealing you lousy hands, right up to the end. But it never turned you bitter or mean. You will always be Kate Winslet beautiful with a great gallumphing giggle as large as all outdoors. Like most who lose someone far too soon, we regret not telling you often enough how much your friendship meant because, like most, we somehow can't give a friend credit for knowing intuitively that which we wished we had said. The memories of better times, blueberry daiquiris and Viking helmets, sushi and tequila shots, bad Connery and "The Happy Prince", Lumpy the beanie baby and Siobhan the waiter, will ease the pain and eventually replace it. Rest easy now, you lovely, lovely girl. We'll meet you further on up the road. —Tony & Karen

Just wanted to share my love and appreciation for a certain "burrow" in Halifax. Thank you to the friendly (and attractive) people who opened up their house to provide an amazing space for sharing music, conversation, drinks, and love! It makes me so happy to be able to hang out here. You guys rock! —Shy Girl

You are so pretty, so flirty... whenever I see you I think "I'm gonna tell her... I'm gonna tell her." BUT I CAN'T!!! I want to tell you D, you are so perfect... and I want you! What's a girl to do, I don't even know if you like girls. —Gay For That Girl

To the girl who let me know my backpack was open and then offered to zip up my backpack when she realized I had no free hands and was running down Spring Garden like a maniac, thank you. I walked by at least 20 people and no one told me. Not only did you save me from potentially losing my laptop, you showed me the east coast kindness when I needed it the most. —Thankful Girl With a Laptop

This is to the most beautiful girl I have ever met. She has showed me things I could never imagine possible. Every time I'm with her she puts a smile on my face and brings out the extreme weirdness side of me that I had no idea was there. We may get in fights here and there but shes worth suffering for. —SMU Student

I was at the 2011 Quinpool Road Car Show and I had hurt my foot so I could not walk around. While I was sitting in my classic car a very nice man looked in the window at me and said that he liked my car. To my astonishment it was the Mayor of Halifax. He was very pleasant to me. You know he did not have to come over and talk to me but he did. That meant all the world to me. Thank you Mr. Mayor of Halifax. I will always remember you. All the best to you. —Very Grateful
