There is nothing that quite compares to a night in the fresh air. A fire softly burning and supper on the stove. But it's the light in your eyes that has kept me warm as she saddles up her horses and rossens up her bow to embrace on a exciting adventure that would make any cow girl want to leave town. —Annie Oakley

I made one on a dark and rainy night. You and the person behind you are good drivers and were paying attention. Thank you very much. I am very sorry and will try to do better in the future. —A Very Bad Driver

As a frequent Metro Transit traveller, I have experienced my fair share of people and drivers in Halifax. But you're the most considerate I've yet to meet! You remember taking me to school on the #18 about 4-5 years ago, and since I've moved but you drive a different bus that is closer to my new home. You have saved me from getting on the wrong bus once, and gone out of your way to inform me of the most efficient route to take home after a long day. I'm not sure how you remember me and where I live, but I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for being so kind . —SixHaliYears

Dear Ms. Page, I have lived in Halifax for almost 4 years and still haven't seen, met or heard from you. I thought I would put my change away one day, pick up my little red bag of Noggins McCintosh apples, turn around and there you'd be. Behind me in line at a coffee shop, laying on the blanket in the distance on the Common on the first sunny day of the year, locking your bike next to mine on Saturday mornings at the market. But, alas, nothing. Come back, and bring Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael Cera with you... we can bike to dinner on a double date. I've never been so sure that I could be someones future favourite friend. Sincerely, —Your Best Friend To-Be

To the person in the women's bathroom at a bar on Saturday: thank you for standing up for me and my right to use the bathroom, you have no idea how much of an impact you had on my night. —T.G.

Fate sometimes has a funny way of making things right. You are my sunshine...my only sunshine! I am looking forward to spending some more quality time with you by the fire. It's going to be a Marry Xmas for you and me. —Just Sayin'

I moved away for awhile to see if there were bigger better things, only to realize that Halifax is the only place I'd ever want to live. Every day I walk the streets of Halifax, I feel part of a living breathing community; a diverse and unique compilation of individuals, cultures and subcultures. We are so isolated from the rest of Canada, yet our music scene is amazing! Our local producers are celebrated and there is green space everywhere. The richness of our history is reflected in the character of our town. To all the awesome Haligonians who love and make this city: thank you! It's so good to be back. —It's Already Winter in Calgary.

I'd just like to give some love for screwing up the drop caps in this week's issue. We've all been there and it sucks but it honestly doesn't matter. As a designer myself I found myself not caring too much and got over it quick, which made me feel better about my own mistakes. Keep up the good work! —Print is Forever

Halifax, I'm sorry I underestimated your importance and how much you meant to me. Now I'm back in upper Canada and missing your salty air, your kitchen parties, your sense of community, your Blundstone-clad Haligonians. You never know what you have until it's gone and I'm sorry I took you for granted. —Dyin' for a Donair
