I love you so much. Thank you for your beautiful waves, for being warm to swim in on cold days and for obliterating all of life's crap with just one sweet kiss upon my toes. —Yours

You trusted me with your parking metre loonie. I got a poem out of our small interaction. ("With a voice like/still-warm travel mug coffee.") Thank you. —A Strange Girl Scribbling with a Clove Cigarette

To the young lady with the blond hair driving a blue car on Prince Albert Road. I'm REALLY sorry. I was in a blue caravan and was trying to merge lanes and almost side swiped you.
You were kind enough to honk your horn to let me know I was gonna hit you—I actually saw you before you did this, but thank you anyways. I had looked in my side-view mirror and I didn't see you, I was being an idiot and started to merge before doing my shoulder check.
I just wanted to say that I am sorry and there's no excuse for what I did, and to thank you for being a more attentive driver than me. —Promise to be a Better Driver

To the really cool sandwich artist on Portland Street. I just want to say THANK YOU. My Husband and myself really appreciate all you do for us, you make amazing subs and are truly a great person, you treat us like normal people, not as 'blind or disabled' as the rest of society does.. if we weren't so poor, we'd gladly give you some money to help you with your education. I hope you DO get the physiotherapy job you've got the interview for.
We really love coming to your particular location, it's only because of you...
Warm wishes & hugs From E&C, your blind customers. —C&E

It has been one of the most challenging years of my life and yet I love you more. Your rocky shores and wooded trails have held me while uncontrollable winds have ripped the metaphorical siding, insulation and slats away and tested my being. Bones and blood exposed to the elements, I thank you for reminding me of the granite and salt that have made our stalwart Scotian heritage strong. I will leave again but I will always return. —Loyal Hali Lover

Dear Halifax,
I miss you. It has been six months since I moved across the world and I am heartsick for your people, your food, your north end dance parties. Until we meet again. —breadispencer

I just want to say that I really like you. You work in the lab down the hall and I wish we talked more. I come to school anticipating the brief convos before class and the smiles in the halls. I'm very guarded it's true and I don't know how to show you how interested I am besides wandering into your lab to have a chat. I hope you like me too and that you'll ask because I'll definitely say yes! —I Live in the Lab

I know you are! I've had my suspicions since I first met you. You're incredibly well-versed in superhero movies and video games, not to mention comic book continuity. On top of that, I'm geeky, but your Halloween costumes make mine look like sewn-together grocery bags. Then there's the comic shops and Comic Cons. Plus, the internet. Don't worry I know some fetishes are kept secret for a reason. Yours is safe with me, Your Hottness. —Now if You'll Excuse Me, There's a New Webcomic Calling My Name...
