We met in the woods with our dogs then again on the street hours later. Your dog had two different coloured eyes and you were wearing a big sweater. It was Valentine's Day and I'm a fool and forgot to think about love and ask for your your number or at least your last name to contact/creep you on facebook. — C.M.

To the server at a certain Quinpool road restaurant, you make work, and life, more enjoyable. You're simply wonderful and I want to supply you with improperly made Veggie Thai Wraps for every life time we share together, which I'm sure will be infinite. BC will be purrrfect. —Baloney

I miss you so much it's disgusting. It's been pouring and I always giggle to myself because I get to tell you about it.. and then I remember I can't anymore. I know this was my decision and it is something that I felt was better for me but holy shit I just want to spend an afternoon tearing up from laughing with you, eating yummy food, taking some pictures, and talking in code.
I know it was the right decision, taking some time to reassess where my head is at and I'm happy that's what I'm doing, and I really appreciate your understanding.
But if you ever really need me I know you know my number, and I promise I'll answer.
Maybe some day we can start fresh - actually I'm holding my breath for it.
We're meant to be friends forever, maybe just not friends right now.
I love you always, I miss you too much, I know you're doing okay. —I Hope You Know I Still Care

To the charming, sweet, handsome boy in one of my classes at Dal: I've been talking to you a lot lately and I'm sorry I've been acting sorta shy but it's because I really like you and also you kind of intimidate me with your lovely voice, intelligence, and big, beautiful smile. It's also cute how much you hate the cold. I don't even know if you'll see this, but in case you do, just throwing it out there that I'd love to get to know you better outside of lectures. Coffee? —In Like

We were both on the 1 by Spring Garden this evening, and I must say you're probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on public transportation. Seeing you and sitting next to you on the bus boosted my giddiness meter through the roof. Also your auburn (or whatever reddish colour it is) hair is bomb diggidy. I hope I get graced by your presence on the bus again someday soon, because a lot of the times it's not a very pretty place. —Red Pantalooned Blondie

To the woman who was raped on Agricola Street on February 14, 2012: Ever since I heard about what happened to you, I have been thinking about you, every minute of every day. I want you to know that you are not alone in your grief, your sadness and your anger. My heart is broken for you. I offer you some random love to help you heal from this random violence: I am a professional massage therapist, my office is right across the street from where you were attacked. If you would let me, I would like to give you some massage treatments, for free. If you don’t want to return to that location, I will bring my massage table to you. This is a long term offering for love and support. Contact me if and when you are ready.

I was out with my girls at a downtown bar that is named for a very popular 80s comedy show, and you won me over with your crazy hip thrusting and sense of humor, even though you are way younger than me. We ended up dancing and laughing the rest of the night and when the time came to go home I chickened out and didn't invite you to come, but did invite you for pizza. Your friend was having some issues and stormed off and you went after him to make sure he was OK and I didn't see you again. Just wanted to say you were hilarious and sweet and if by chance we meet on the dance floor again I won't be a chicken next time! —Dance Teacher

This friends with benefits is the most successful I've heard of or tried. Months without complications and the sex is still amazing and exciting. I love this lust! I don't have to impress you or worry, and it doesn't cause me any stress at all. Did I mention the amazing sex? So good. —Happy Being Single (and Why the Hell Not?!)
