Friday May 31st between 4pm-4:30pm. You go on the bus and sat down beside me ( I was wearing the green and white dress). You took out your headphones and began reading a book. I desperately wanted to talk to you and ask you what you were reading, but I was too shy. Hopefully i'll see you on the 18 another day handsome stranger. —E.S.

This afternoon I discovered that A) I forgot change for the bus, B) there is nowhere to make change at my local bus depot (not even the vending machines...) and C) bus drivers don't look kindly on people bearing bills. As I started walking away, slightly frustrated and humiliated, a woman offered to pay my fare. I was embarrassed by my situation, but I was blown away by the kind gesture. So thank you, fellow commuter, for both the fare and for boosting my faith in people. —Changeless Commuter

Thank you to the soul who left my camera lens on a bench in the Public Gardens instead of keeping it (and to everyone else who saw it and didn't take it). It must have slept my shoulder when I was taking pictures today (May 29th pm) I realized it only a few minutes later when I came to use it. An extremely, very sincere and warm thank you to you! :) The lens is for a 70's film camera and I would have never been able to replace it anywhere. I am sure Karma will give it back to you 10X! —A Nostalgic Photographer

You were working at the circulation desk when I checked out last Thursday afternoon. I'm relatively new to Halifax and don't have many friends, as soon as I got home I wished I'd given you my number with the offer to hang out sometime. Hope to meet again! —Library Patron

To the person who found my jacket on the 68 and turned it in: THANK YOU!!! My ID, keys, debit card, and my gift card for Mother's Day were in the pockets, and it was such a relief to have those things back. I was so distracted by getting home to see my little one, as I just returned to work from leave. You may not need my life's story, but I want to let everyone know how much this gesture means to me. I spent my weekend agonizing over the worst case scenarios, but come Monday morning, with a call to Metro Transit's lost and found, I was met with the best case scenario! I know there are good people out there, and my jacket certainly encountered one. I can't thank you enough for your honesty and thoughtfulness, but I will start with a public shout out. Thanks again. —You Made My Weekend

To the guy who we met on Friday night at Victoria Park, I would like to thank you for simply stopping to talk to us. You called yourself Satan, but I think you're really a prophet because I've been thinking about our conversation since it happened and everything you said was very insightful. I hope we meet again some day and maybe you can show me and my friends the Halifax tunnels you were talking about it. You're an awesome person, I'm glad to have met you. Look for us at Bum Park. Lots of love. —Gemini

To the kind lady who saw that my hand was bleeding at work, thank you so much for the band-aid! I was content to dig about for the first aid kit, and you noticed. It seriously brightened my whole week. Swing by again if you read this, and ask if I'd like to get coffee sometime. I would. —Occasionally Clumsy

To the boy with the amazing smile that lights up a room - I can't seem to shake the thought of the connection that we immediately had. We met volunteering at a certain fast food related house and since that magical first encounter you're all I think about :) I just wanted to let you know to keep smiling, you don't know how inspiring you are! —Boy With Dark Jeans
