This morning as I got on my usually bus to my summer job, I was greated by a cheerful beautiful smile and a happy "Good morning!". I was shocked and it immediately put a smile on my face. The rest of the bus ride was prompt and on time and she was just as cheerful with everyone else. Some people trash on a lot of drivers that are not friendly and useless. But thanks to the Monday morning #14 bus lady! You made the start of my day wayyyyy more pleasent than usual!!! Keep it up! —South Park usual rider

You're a knockout. You're the first thing on my mind in the morning, and it makes me so happy to have you beside me when I wake up. When I'm with you I feel like I've been lifted up and placed on a mountain. It's unreal. It's waaay too early to say this, but I think I might be in love with you...and your dog. —White Knife Yellow Horse

I understand why you moved away from this beautiful city to seek out greener pastures.

With everything you had here, things in your new city must be difficult. Despite our problems, and our inability to love each other the way we both wished, you will always have a place in my heart and in Halifax.

I am so proud of you and have such a deep respect for you, your lack of fear and the way you grab life by the balls. Knock 'em dead in the West. —Bluebird

You're honest, aggressive and let's face it, a DAL bro! You like sports, I like art. You jam to classic rock and I'm more into indie and punk. I'm sure that neither of us are the kind of person the other usually goes for, if that makes any sense. All that said, there's something great about bridging those gaps and trying to get to know each other.

Sometime you are exactly what I expect but more often than not you surprise me in some way. I'm glad we're giving this a shot. You're not just a jock, and I hope I can show you I am more than I appear too. —Irregular

I love you, Halifax. I’ve lived in this city for 22 and a half years, and now I am leaving town. The memories that occupy space in my head will never fade. This is an ode to you, and the beautiful people that live inside this city making it breathe and glow everyday. This is an ode to walking down to Armdale Pizza as a child to buy candy. An ode to watching my old high-school get torn to the ground and turned into a garden. This is an ode to the silent understandings you have on the first 1 Spring Garden of the day from Mumford terminal.

This is an ode to the ocean that not only gives life, but takes life away. An ode to the artists that make this city what it is. An ode to the music scene for giving me the life to go on (I wouldn’t have made it without you.) This is an ode to never being able to go walk around downtown without running into at least one person you know (or one person you hate.)

This is an ode to everyone. An ode to the city that I could draw a map of with my eyes closed. An ode to the fact that almost every 20-something in this city has a love/hate relationship with the city itself, but the fact that we know deep down this is where our heart is.

I’m leaving, but I know I will be back. I’ll always be back. —left and leaving

We met at the cabaret, where I drank too much, too fast, and unfortunately led to me falling asleep quickly and waking up feeling pretty ill. I wasn't sure if I should make this a love or a bitch, because you said you wanted to stay in contact and then changed your mind and didn't respond to me. I decided to make it a love because all in all, I had a great time and it really gave me hope that I will find someone who can tolerate me and I can do the same in return. I wish you the best in adventures in Montreal, and I am sorry for being such a bitch to your best friend. He really isn't that bad. —99% Love
