I was walking with my group of daycare children back from Halifax public North library. The sidewalk on Barrington was cut off for a certain length, by chain link fence, and I had to make the hard decision of waking my kids on the side of the road until we hit the crosswalk. In the concern for my kids, I dropped my hat and didn't notice. You stopped your car and ran to deliver it to me. I wouldn't have done it if I were you, but I appreciated not losing the Christmas present my sister had hoped I would love wearing. I do, and thank you. —Tired teacher

I rang in your purchases on Sunday afternoon and was making poliet chit chat with you at the cash register, when you told me that you had cancer and that your fiance left you when he found out. You menstioned something about having to decided wheter or not to get some painful medical testing done and your words about your health broke my heart. I have not been able to stop thinking about your situation ever since. You told me that you have no support in your life and I sensed that you felt very alone. I just wanted to reach out to tell you that you are not alone. I may be a complete stranger to you, but I care alot and I said a prayer for you yesterday and I will continue to. I mesntioned our talk to my husband and you are in his thoughts as well!! Don't give up the fight! You are stronger than you realize and I am sending lots of warm and positive energy your way!
