To the lady who found my son in Bedford, you are my hero. He is 6 and was dropped off in front of my home (instead of at the babysitter's) due to a substitute driver, finding himself in front of a locked door, as I was blithely working away in Halifax. He tried all the neighbours, none of which were home. He knows not to talk to strangers but when he saw you coming around the bend you must have seemed like a saviour. I asked him why he felt it was okay to approach you: he said it was because you looked kind. He was right. Even though he wouldn't even give you my phone number you walked him all the way to the babysitter's, making sure he got across Dartmouth Rd. safely.
