A thank you to all the citizens who take the time to tune in to the bitches and loves in The Coast. I thoroughly enjoy reading the comments on the online forum. Some individuals take the time to include their unique comments on posts which never cease to enlighten me, plus enhance (and something boggle) my vocabulary and grammar. For those of you who only pick up the hard copy, I advise you to check out the website and see what zany things Haligonians say.

I was with my friend K May heading to the Journey concert at about 8:30 on Quinpool and Oxford and you walked up towards the bus stop. We were talking about graffiti choices. You were picking up garbage; all the garbage. That's a pretty rad thing to do. As a former teenage litterer, I apologize. As a current non-litterer, I thank you. Have a day as rad as you are.

To the lady who asked me to lend her writing an ear on Wednesday in the Killam Library Atrium: You interrupted me while I was editing my final thesis submission, and at first I was reluctant to come over to you to listen to what you had to say. What you read to me was clear, confident and pointed out instances of abuse and discrimination that you have faced and continue to face in your workplace. Keep fighting, because what you outlined is extremely unfair and should not be tolerated. Thanks for the inspiration.

You have the warmest, most genuine smile I've seen. I'm sure you offer it to all the customers that enter but when you smile at me it feels like it's for me personally. I went in for some beer tonight. I noticed you were working the taps so I decided I'd buy a growler of cider just to see your smile. You're really the reason I frequent the store. Thanks for being so inviting. Please stay wonderful. And I really did enjoy my cider.

Monday July 27th around 8 pm. We had a brief conversation on our bikes at the intersection of Young and Agricola. You were on a blue Trek with white handle bars. I was too cowardly to ask for your # and I am still thinking of you. Send me an email:
