A few weeks ago, while I was walking at night near my home, I had a seizure that dropped me to the ground. I was twitching and incoherent, but people who only vaguely recognized me from the neighbourhood—people I'd never spoken to before—helped bring me to my door. I've always known that I live in a friendly part of this city, but was touched that near-strangers would take care of someone who probably looked for all the world like he was just falling-down drunk.
