Even if they don't see this, I just want to thank the amazing bosses that I work for. I’ve read so much hate about bosses around the city, especially from serving staff, and it makes me feel even more appreciative of the amazing work family and bosses I have. From making a very comfortable work environment, letting us know that we can be who we want and that they are there for us, to making us food at work when were feeling drained. I feel like they don't get the appreciation that they deserve all of the time, but trust me there are amazing bosses out there and I hope that some day everyone can experience a good workplace like I do.

You are a strong, resilient, beautiful human being. A glowing soul on the darkest of days. I know you are living silently through a nightmare and I am the only person you told. I can't even begin to imagine how you are feeling at this moment. My heart aches for you, not as a past lover, but a current friend who deeply cares about you. I will always be here and will support you no matter what. You are incredible, powerful, intelligent, curious, compassionate and you deserve the best this world has to offer.

They say you should step out of your comfort zone from time to time, but I like our arrangement. I'm able to fully enjoy myself because of how comfortable I am around you. I cannot express how special you make me feel. Thanks for being as awkward and damaged as I am, and thanks for laughing with me at our antics and thanks for relaxing enough to enjoy yourself too. Oh, and the orgasms—thanks for plenty of those as well! ;)

Shoutout to the two young guys that gave me a twoonie Sunday morning on the MacKay Bridge. I'm not from Halifax and had gotten lost, and you saved me! You gave me your money, no questions asked, and I wish I could thank you properly and pay you back. You're the reason why Halifax is such a wonderful community. Thank you! —Halley

To the kind stranger who approached me at the parking meter off Spring Garden Road and asked "do you have enough change?" Thank you for your extra quarters! You prevented me a parking ticket, on my birthday too!

Was having a not-so-nice day on Saturday...until I got on the number 20 heading towards Herring Cove. You got on after me and sat down close enough that I noticed the interesting magazine you were reading. Then I noticed what you were wearing: red beret, long tan coat, tights with sparkles, kick ass shoes and your short mauve hair was perfect to finish it all off. You made me feel better because that is what I aspire to become—kind and considerate and a “don't give a f*ck” attitude to what others think=you go girl.

Thank you for the Thursday afternoon flirtation at Dave's F&V. It kept me smiling for hours. You were most likely just there for a few minutes of my life, but you were very cute and I enjoyed watching you walk away. —Just a Girl Shopping for her Veggies

You might not be the strange one I was looking for, but it makes me sad to think that in the abyss of unknowns
that lies between two people (whoever they might be), you came to that conclusion.
There might also be a possibility that someone, somewhere, is rooting for your happiness.

While waiting in line for a coffee at Scotia Square, a lovely random stranger hands me an envelope. "This is for you" she said smiling, then promptly walks away. It wasn't until I got back to the office that I opened it. Inside was a 5$ Tim's gift card, and a note that read: "it's my mom's birthday! Since I can't share it with her, I'd like to share it with you! She loved Tim Hortons! Have a Rosie Day"
I was so touched, and wanted to go back to give you a big hug!
Thank you! You made my day! And happy birthday to your mother!
