I've recently been Trudeau'd (Is that a verb yet? It should be—look up their love story) by a Haligonian. And it ain't fun—but I still love you Hali, and I will continue to have faith in your weird and wonderful men! —A catch that hasn't been caught yet

You guys kicked it with my nan in emergency Thursday night while she waited for a doctor to see her. In light of the whole situation, you carried on with our ridiculousness for hours. I know it's part of your job to stick around, but your personalities and kindness made all the difference. I didn't catch your names but it was more than a pleasure to meet you both! If i ever see you guys out, I'll buy you a round. Thanks for being amazing and stay safe! (: —Axe-Throwing Granddaughter

I really do love Halifax. I've been dabbling with barefoot walking to prepare for barefoot running. Today I did my longest barefoot walk and it was amazing. The sidewalks along Spring Garden Road and Robie Street are so well taken care of, it's amazing. I didn't have to dodge glass or sharp rocks. The walk was a breeze and highly enjoyable! —Barefoot Computer Geek

For the first time in a long time I feel like I actually have it together. Like my head, my heart and my direction are all aligning. I have you to thank for this. You came into my life and have made me a better person, you believing in me has helped me to believe in myself. I was in a hard spot and together we have really made it. Keep outing those smiles on my face and I will keep scratching :) xoxo love you —Happy and Loving IT

Thanks for the late night chats after Mellotones show last Thursday. Would have stayed out later to go on an adventure but AM work and adulting responsibilities got in the way. Owe you a dance and a possible drink. See you on the D floor black dressed to impress. —CD

I recently dined at the Five Fisherman restaurant and OMG have you seen the doorman?! You mister, are nothing short of beautiful. Tall, dark and handsome with a smile that made me melt...I wanted to ask you for your number but I was on a date. I live an hour away, but next time I'm in Halifax, I'll be looking for you ;) —Smitten kitten

Wallet lost, found by stranger and returned to my mailbox with note that said "My reward comes from returning this to you intact." Thank you, unknown friend!! Another reason we love living in Nova Scotia. —Grateful Senior

Thank you so much, kind stranger, for giving me a ride home in your car when I was struggling along on foot with a heavy box on my way to North Street. People like you make Halifax wonderful! —N

June 29th, 2014: I stepped into Mary's cafe on Robie Street, only to see the most beautiful human I've ever set my eyes on. Little did I know at the time that two years later this person would be the most important person in my life. I'm so lucky to have met such a special, talented and kind individual. Keep being you, although maybe work on your crib skills for when I get home. All my love. —____ moustache
