June 10, 2017: Props to the street shooter with the Rolleiflex outside the Halifax Central Library. There was that girl in that stance with sunhat and shades. I watched you walk up, take the shot, and move on. I admire your eye and your technique.  Keep it up and don't forget to show your work. Where can we see more?Vivian M.

You were out since 5am walking your somewhat frisbee fetching Border Collie. Met you in Shubie. What a great demeanour and smile you have. —Hello again

You're far from perfect, but so am I. I doubt I'll ever leave you, but even if I do we'll know we had a great time growing and changing together. —There are so many reasons why I love this town

The forget-me-nots are out again, and you're back on my brain. Not that you ever leave for too long. Like those little blue flowers, you always come back. —I knew where to look for you…

Thanks to the Canadian Taxpayer Federation for bringing up the issue of MLA pensions again.  This province needs to live within its means and to do that there is a need for an appropriate type of pension for the politicians.

Two other things I wish they would look at:

1) The issue of public sector workers who have a pension from another workplace and then qualifying for an MLA pension (double-dipping).  What is the solution for this problem CTF?

2) The salaries of premiers across the country and where Nova Scotia ranks.  Where does NS rank CTF?

To the blind woman on Gottingen Street Monday night:

You were trying to cross at the light at Cornwallis and the beeper was broken so you couldn't tell if you could go or not. I watched you tentatively step out into the street just as my light was about to turn green. I tried to get your attention but you couldn't hear me so I gave you a little honk which just scared the hell out of you and you stepped backwards and almost fell over the curb. I am so sorry for scaring you! You looked terrified and must have thought I was just some asshole. I swear I was just trying to help and make sure you wouldn't get hit by a car. It's hard enough to navigate Halifax crosswalks without being blind.

Should I have just let you cross at a red? Should I have gotten out of my car and helped you cross the street or would that be rude to assume that you needed help? What's the right thing to do here? —I think I’m the bitch

After getting into a pretty crappy accident on the night of June 3, we had the absolute pleasure of being taken care of by some of the best humans I have ever met. EMS, Halifax Regional Police and Fire, tow truck drivers, passing pedestrians, and commissionaires were quick to the scene and took care of everyone involved efficiently and sensitively.

Although it would have been better to have avoided the situation altogether and dealing with the insurance fallout is going to be a nightmare, we couldn't have asked for better care from everyone who came to help.

We can't thank everyone enough for everything. We feel so lucky to have met every single one of these people and will never forget their kindness. —Freaked out VW Driver

I'm stretching my skins, elastic band
but reaching through.
Climbing into your rhythms,
you didn't think anyone could.
But I scream into the air like you,
those naked tracks of silence,
flashes of pain, pressing blue.
—Hitting repeat

Great job to the long-haired dude that helped me today at a certain brewing company on Gottingen close to Citadel Hill. You were very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and a generally cool cat. You really seemed to enjoy what you were doing and are a definite ppl person. Thanks for introducing me to some new flavours! —If I lived closer to this location it'd be a great hangout

I love your blue eyes... they haunt me. Not in a bad way...there is so much behind them. I want to know everything about you: The good and the bad. I love your smile... so much behind your smile as well. I love the way you carry yourself. I know you are a good person... A real person. I know you are not perfect... no one is... However you are perfect in my eyes. I could go on and on and on about everything I see in you... I felt from you... I feel from you...until I write again... I hope you keep smiling. —From the one who adores you
