God bless you, Wray…you were always a friendly face in front of the old library. Very sad the way you went. Hopefully some good will come of it.  —Bluenoser

I see you a few afternoons a week at the gym in Clayton Park. You're super tall, fit, always have your hat on backwards, and these days you're sporting a beard. Just wanted you to know that I think you are ridiculously attractive. —An Admirer

To the cute guy in the suit who gave me the loveliest smile at a certain shop near Pizza Corner: Let’s get coffee? —Hopeless Romantic

I found your keys in the slushy side of the road on Spring Garden across from Indochine today, January 23 at approximately 4:30 pm. The ring had notable keys on it, including a vintage Honda motorcycle key, a black bike lock key, and a U-Haul padlock key, along with several others. I turned the keys in to lost and found at the Lord Nelson, so if they were yours, there you go. Good luck! —Karma Patrol

Thanks, man. I feel like everyone's been a crazy person on the roads since the snow hit, making anxiety-fuelled lane changes, driving at wildly inappropriate speeds and the like. But this morning I was pretty sure you had arrived at the two-lane drive thru at Robie and Young before me, so I let you go ahead. Then when I got to the window she said you paid for my coffee, and I've had a nice feeling ever since. First of all, I love and really needed a coffee. Also, cash has been pretty tight lately and even something small makes a difference. Thanks, stranger. —The Girl In The White Elantra

You're probably too busy being an awesome mom/social justice fighter to read this but thank you! Thank you for taking the time. Thank you for being open and honest. Thank you for speaking with knowledge and intent. At the city council meeting Tuesday night you reminded not only the councillors but everyone watching that development comes with a cost. The cost between 20 and 25 storeys is real and we as a community need to decide how much we're willing to sacrifice. Thank you! —Another Jan Gehl Fan-girl

The driver of the last #72 out of Burnside on weather bomb day did a fantastic job of both driving in nasty conditions AND informing passengers that it would be the last run, asking where they were headed and generally informing and reassuring them about getting home. I know a lot of people were probably inconvenienced by H^lif^x Tr^nsit's decision to suspend service at 4pm. But this young man was a consummate professional and exemplar of service under trying conditions. Much appreciated. —C

One day, when the stars are all perfectly placed in the sky, a girl who gets butterflies in your presence, lost in your eyes and tongue-tied by your smile, who would be happy just to listen to you talk, and play with your hair and feed you honey and tangerines, will find you (again) and be free to love you for a thousand lifetimes. If you can be my thunderbolt...you can be someone else's. I can be at secret peace with that.  –Hey hey hey
