To the lady with red hair in Lower Sackville. Thank you for your nice words and I'm sorry I almost made you miss your stop, but I must admit I am a smidge confused. You came up and touched my arm and told me that "it takes great courage." Thank you again, but I didn't know what the context was and why, but again thank you? Hope you have a nice day!

To the beautiful soul I shared a drink with at the airport, a seat in the rocking chairs and all those beautiful moments in between. I may never see you again, but the imprint you had on me will stay with me always. I want to stay with you in that other world.

To the tiny espresso shop with the biggest heart: you are all the best. For real—the best. My daily morning (and sometimes afternoon) coffee is now a pivotal, non-negotiable part of my routine because of your smiles, jokes, warmth and kindness. A day without you is always sad, boring and painfully un-caffeinated.

Thank you, kind stranger, for picking up my wayward house key and tying it to a light post on Windsor Street the other day! There were only a couple of places it could have been dropped, so I was worried someone had kept it for evil. Thank you <3

Major kudos and a big shout-out to the guys who handle lost and found at the Halifax Transit Bridge Terminal. Last Wednesday, I lost my wallet on one bus going to the Bridge Terminal from Dartmouth, and my cell phone on the bus going across the bridge to Halifax. I got the number for lost and found at Halifax Transit, so I called them and I spoke with Dale; we had a great rapport and the customer service experience was great! The bus drivers had all told me that lost and found opened at 8am. bit Dale explained that they didn't get the things back from buses until noon, so it was not a good idea to call before that. Makes sense to me.

I left a voicemail message with Dale yesterday, and today when we talked he asked me about my phone and asked me to describe it to him. I told him the brand name only appeared near the speaker. He asked if I could wait a while, as he had to have a look in his inventory again.

Lo and behold, my wallet, with all the money I had, $25, and a lottery ticket AND my phone were at the lost and found! Freaking A+++ for customer service, guys, and for getting these things back to me. It took a week for my cell and wallet to be located and brought back: who cares how long it took! I got them back!

So people, when you lose your stuff and it might be on the bus, don't panic. These guys are super-busy! I just explained the process. Let them do their job and locate the stuff and stop calling every day to find out if your things are there. It must be super-stressful working there. So I didn't have my cell phone for a week; the world didn't end and I didn't die because I couldn't access the internet. It was actually nice to be flying blind and almost incommunicado for six or seven days. Lol! Thanks to everyone who had anything to do with it at Halifax Transit!!! Aaron and Dale, you guys rock!

This past Monday I lost my wallet. Thank you to the bank lady who helped me freeze all of my accounts when I realized I was missing my wallet. Thank you to the police officer who took my report of "missing property" very seriously, even going as far to contact Halifax Transit to see if anything turned up. Thank you to the bus driver who still drove me home when I explained I lost my wallet that has my bus tickets in it, and I couldn't pay for a fare because my accounts were frozen and I had no access to money.

But the biggest thank you goes to the woman who found my wallet, opened it, found my sister's business card and contacted her to inform her that she found my wallet. You are a truly good person. I'm so thankful. Cards and wallets can be replaced, I can make more money, but my wallet had a picture of my late dog Jake. I'm just happy I got that back.

On Tuesday morning I had a bad fall on the edge of Victoria Park. I fell into the boxes for The Coast and Metro, they both went over and the base of one came up and made a serious gash in my leg. I want to thank the young man who came to my assistance, he helped me up and was quite concerned. I had no idea how badly I was injured until 37 staples later. Many thanks to the young man who rushed to help me.

Thank you for joining me on that empty dance-floor over a decade ago. If it wasn't for your sense of adventure, we wouldn't be here today. —French Canadian

I’ve been feeling so much power recently. Knowing I’ll see you again soon makes everyday more exciting than the next. Your bright blonde-haired beauty is unique for a man, but you make it work and my heart is full and inquisitive and pure bliss.
