Whoever you are, owners of the house on Maple Street in Dartmouth with that gorgeous magnolia tree: Keep up the good work!

That tree is one of the nicest things I see on my drive to and from work. It makes spring time beautiful, especially with all this chilly weather we have had this (non) spring.

My dear friend and I were walking along to get to a gas station to get a few things and also get a little exercise. It was bitterly cold outside and you, out of the kindness of your heart, came to us and curiously wished my dear friend well with his cane. And, after a briefing on his affliction and why he uses a cane, you asked if you could put a hand on his shoulder and pray for his health and good things to come his way.

After the praying for good things to come his way you promptly offered and gave him a hug and than gave me a hug. You don't know how much it truly means for someone to go out of their way, stand in the cold and well-wish someone you don't know. You are truly a wondrous person, You invigorated both of us and despite the coldness on the outside you truly warmed us inside and gave us the energy and strength to keep pushing, keep trying and more importantly...keep caring. Thank you and I hope Karma rewards you.

To the woman in the T-Rex cardigan: Thanks for making it so enjoyable to listen to terrible truths. I needed a reminder that live music—that a great performance—is a distinct way to experience music.

Dear lady with a white bike on campus, who trapped my break line in your bike lock:
Thank you for responding to my not-so-nice, first day of school anxiety-filled note that I left on your bike with such kindness. You reminded me that I need not be so hostile and that good people (and bikers) do exist in Halifax. You changed my whole day around.

All praises to the barber who stood tall when a shady lady tried to re-appropiate the magnificent plant resurrected under your care.

Having a bad day? Just a little uplifting note from me to you, from an unfamiliar face in a crowd, but locally in HRM with you. A bad day happens every once in a while, maybe you spilled a coffee you just bought with your last bit of change before payday, maybe you got a bad grade on a test you studied super hard for, or your spouse left you for someone else. These incidences in your life only make you stronger. Don't let them define you or how the rest of your day is going to go. You are the determining factor, put a smile on your face, say hello to the stranger beside you on the bus, dance to your favourite song, or stuff your face with your favourite treat. There are days you feel super down, and like no one cares, but they do care, find a friend, talk to them, and realize how short life is and make the best of it. —Someone Who Had To Learn To Love Themselves Even On Bad Days

To the unknown artist who put painted rocks with “I love my mother” messages all around the frog pond on Mother's Day: What a kind and heartwarming gesture, I hope your mother enjoyed it as much as I did! –A Happy Mother

My Australian Shepard wouldn't leave your beautiful German Shepard alone and even though my wild pup knocked over your coffee you were still friendly and we hiked together for two hours! This is what I love about life—you surprised me and our chance encounter was oh so lovely. I hope our puppies are friends to the end and maybe us as well? —Crystal Crescent Hiking Gal

Your playing is lovely and your smile is sunshine, I can hardly keep my eyes from wandering back to the viola section. This month has been extra tough for me, and I'm feeling especially grateful that we have an amazing orchestra here. —Under 30, 16-dollar Seat

To the young-ish guy on the sitting up front on the 60, knitting away like it ain’t no thing: I dig it bruh, you do you! Hope that blue and orange scarf (?) turns out great! —Jealous Of Your Knitting Skills
