For the second year in a row, Elliot Page is our gold winner for the Best Halifamous Person award. Page is a Nova Scotian icon, having appeared in several blockbuster films including Juno, Inception and several X-Men films. He stars as Viktor Hargreeves in the Netflix comic book adaptation The Umbrella Academy, and wrote and stars in the film Closer To You, which saw a Canadian release earlier this year. Page has become a best-selling author from his book Pageboy: A Memoir, and continues to be an advocate and activist for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. It’s hard not to be impressed by a Haligonian who went on to be a name recognized around the world, especially someone as humble and talented as Page.
