His uncanniness is only matched by his delightful cheeriness, dolled out to visitors of Mic Mac Mall every holiday season since his re-emergence in 2021. He’s a local favourite, and an international phenom thanks to his appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show, which you can watch below. Mall marketing manager Cheslea Dunn says he’s delivered by Santa to the mall every year to bring Christmas spirit to all the children who come to visit. First finding his home back in the 1980s, Woody has become a generational figure for Halifax families. “The grandparents, the parents, and this new generation, all getting to experience this all over again as a family,” says Dunn.
