It seems to be all the rage these days to ask applicants to complete a lengthy assignment in a short period of time, usually over some mechanized online system before you even meet with their face. Job searching is demoralizing enough without such demands, but maybe you could at least give me the time of day to let me know you received my assignment? Or let me down gently when I am not invited for an interview? I know the job market is bad and you have a wealth of choices of over qualified people to pay for their time, but you don't get to become some nightmare overlord as a result. Stop abusing your power and exploiting desperation. Stop making job applicants feel more like shit just because you can. I'm looking at you municipal gov —people we need your money

I think the explosive reactions by people who think the next enemy of freedom of speech are survivors of PTSD is both convenient and telling. Triggers are behavioural associations and are thus individual and impossible to predict with complete accuracy—but for topics like rape, child abuse and assault, it is easy to make an educated guess. Trigger warnings aren't mandatory, and they don't change any content. They are a courtesy, indicating compassionate human beings who want to do something easy to spare someone's day becoming dysfunctional. They are not about you, unless you want to make them so. —WWSD

You reek of insincerity. You think you know the reason things are the way they are but you don’t. You never will. You can’t stop talking long enough to listen. —better off without you

The ferry and bus terminals don't sell transit tickets, nor do the places closest (e.g. drug store near to the Alderney ferry) or they're closed early. HRM removed the listing of ticket sellers from the schedule. WTF? —Try Harder if You're Promoting AT

Why are our troops not being used to help with this fire? We are not at war and there is no reason we can't send 100,000 troops in and end this in a week! You wanted the job, you got it. Now get your head out of your ass and do something about it. —One Pissed Off Canadian

It's really frustrating being someone that is interested in our local music scenes. I often feel like many people in bands don't appreciate the random fans they have and are judgmental of the people outside their music scene. It's just disappointing to really enjoy someone’s music and go to their shows and support them, but they make you feel like you're just a fan girl or someone who doesn't belong there cause you're not part of their friend group or a musician. —#1 dad

If I literally have to read another bitch written by a dog, I'm gonna scream. Dogs can't write bitches. Stop writing bitches in a dog’s voice. “I'm the Chihuahua that walked past you, woof woof.” Get a freakin’ lifffffffffffeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! —Sick of This Shit, Pick up Your Dog’s Shit and Stop Acting a Fool

Tacos please. Like all the other cities in North America. Just some tacos. No more shitty pizza places. No need for more of that east coast donair mystery dead animal(s) with the sugary cum sauce. No need for more expensive boutiquey, locally sourced inspired (white people) tacos. Just some little cuties with enough lime, cilantro and spicy things. Just a baseline. —Mexicali Holocaust
