It seems to be all the rage these days to ask applicants to complete a lengthy assignment in a short period of time, usually over some mechanized online system before you even meet with their face. Job searching is demoralizing enough without such demands, but maybe you could at least give me the time of day to let me know you received my assignment? Or let me down gently when I am not invited for an interview? I know the job market is bad and you have a wealth of choices of over qualified people to pay for their time, but you don't get to become some nightmare overlord as a result.
