I would not typically take my business to a public forum such as this, but I seem to have hit a dead end. It is 7:29 on Saturday morning. I would love to have slept in today, except the school bell next to my apartment is blaring in my ear and has been since 7am!! This has happened numerous times before, each time at a different ungodly hour. 12am, 3am, 4am...and I am friggin fed-up!! I have left several messages for the school in question and have contacted their school board twice. I stopped by and spoke with their maintenance person - He was very sweet and assured me it would be fixed. He lied. The one time that someone answered the phone the receptionist said she had no idea why it was going off at odd hours and the bell company had been contacted. Well Sweetheart, they didn't fix it and I have called 3 more times with no response!! 34 minutes - That's how long your bell has been rattling my brain! —BellBuster

I realize I'm going out on limb here, but good Christ can we let religion find its way back into closets once occupied by the queer community? I get it: solace and comfort, sure. Generally, on a nice, sunny, Friday morning people are happy because the end of the week is finally upon them. This was not the case for one such individual this morning as I was driving my daughter to school in a 50 km/hour zone (I was driving about 45 due to the chunky ice road), and out of no where this van is right on my ass swerving aimlessly all over the road and excessively blowing his horn. Neither me nor my daughter could believe this, but the kicker was this person was a member of our Canadian Armed Forces! I was ashamed to see someone who is supposed to represent our country at the highest and utmost respect be driving in such a careless, wreckless and dangerous manner for no reason at all. In the end, I seriously hope this person reported to work late, forgot his lunch at home and has engine troubles when leaving work this evening. I also don't expect him to ever read this because The Coast is probably a little bit too educated for his Neanderthal brain to comprehend. —Just Trying To Get From Point A to B

Yes, another winter bitch! As we all know the city is trying to clear the roads as quickly as possible after each storm. With so much accumulation and so little space roadways become congested and with the addition of the ice from our last storm they have become hazardous in areas. So WHY do Metro transit busses still feel they should be able to operate as usual. On my commute to work in Burnside I tend to get stuck behind these busses often. The usual 2 lane street I take is down to 1.5 in some areas. I know that the busses have the right of way when the indicator lights are on but.... Why am I constantly being nearly shoved off the roadways while trying to pass these stopped busses??? If your indicating to the right I should not have to worry about passing you on the LEFT! The lanes are small, the snow banks are high... it's not easy for any of us to get around.. NO NEED to make things worse by running people off the roads in the few safe areas! Also on a side note. I appreciate the nightly street cleaning but would really appreciate the tractors being taken off the roads prior to rush hour... the morning commute can be stressful as it is and no one wants to be delayed by a tractor going 20kms below the posted speed limit on a main street! —Snow.. be gone!
