Where are all the route ones hiding? —Can't feel my toes

I haven't felt safe walking to work for the past few weeks. At work, we talk about how shitty they are every day. Word is there is only one contractor handling the sidewalks this winter, where in years past there have been many—each responsible for a specific area. The city needs to spur a bit of competition and award multiple contracts for multiple areas, because there obviously isn't enough effort going on currently to clear them properly. —Brock E.N. The "gangster thug" wanna be teenagers and adults I'd like to let you all know you are nothing but useless, stupid, ignorant fuck ups. Your whole lives will be a fuck up. Your mother fucked up when she didn't spit you out and set it on fire. You waste oxygen. Go fuck off somewhere else, like Antarctica. Pieces of fucking shit. —ye ye ye mutha fuggas!

So Halifax, with all their infinite wisdom, has decided that snow tires on the buses aren't worth the investment, and therefore neither is the safety of the ridership. Well, to that, I say that it's time to have some fun at their expense. There's still plenty of winter left (and a storm forecast on Friday) so I propose an idea - any time that you spot a bus that is stuck, take a picture or a video of it. Post it to social media...all over social media. Make sure to note the date, time, get the bus number, and the location of it. Posting to Twitter? Make sure you tag Halifax Transit (@hfxtransit) and anyone else that you see fit - the Algamated Transit Union, the media, your friends... Have a laugh at Halifax Transit's expense...maybe enough shaming will encourage them to re-think their stupid decision. —Sick of the stupidity in this city

Holy cow, thank you for the verbal entertainment. Though you woke us up at 2:30AM there wasn't a dull moment. And, yes, we think she was trying to make you jealous!!! —Tired amusements

Can someone please tell me what the point of the 1-5 item customer service cash register at a certain grocery chain is when staff are instructed to not even enforce it when people come waltzing up with 15 items like they're some sort of special flower who's entitled to do whatever the fuck they want. Like I told the store manager: from now on I'll be bringing my whole cart of groceries to that cash to make a point. If the special flowers of the world don't have to follow the rules, neither do I. —BreakfastSandwich

Please stop telling people that I broke up with you because you have schizophrenia. I broke up with you because you treated me like garbage. I know that your life is hard, but that does not give you an excuse to refer to me as c**t or b**ch. I know that you have trouble managing your finances when you get so little from welfare, but I have a hard time being sympathetic when you spend your money on booze, smokes, and tattoos, then expect me to pay your rent. I know that your motivation for work and chores is low, but I don't want to be treated like your personal chef, maid, or shopper. Telling me that you can't wash your own underwear because of your illness sounds like a cop out to me, especially when you're dashing out the door to go play pool with your friends as you say this. I want a relationship with someone who treats me with respect, and you just weren't doing this. I knew you had schizophrenia early in our relationship, this never bothered me. People with schizophrenia are not lazy, stupid or mean as part of their illness. The more time we spent together, the more I realized that you were all three - innate personality or character flaws, not from symptoms. Taking advantage of my finances, treating me like a personal servant, your rudeness towards me, and your ongoing neglect of your own grown-up responsibilities are why I needed to end this. I would date someone else with a mental illness, I have a few friends who struggle with this and none of them treat other people like you treated me. I didn't break up with your schizophrenia, I broke up with you. —It's not me, it's you

What the hell kind of city lifts the parking ban when the snow is clearly still impeding road safety? Stop being so affraid of the North End Hipsters who bought homes without parking and use the overnights to get those contractors to actually cut the snow banks and clear intersections so that people can see and drive safely! Have you seen some of the one-way streets around here? Try driving down one when there's a half-tonne truck is parked on the side. Get your shit together, HRM and figure out this snow-clearing business. It's Atlantic Canada. We get snow. Budget for it and manage it! —Can't See Over the Banks.

Ok, so you wanted a cute little puppy, you got a cute little puppy. Puppy needs to go out to pee at 2:30 am on a frigid February night and rather than put appropriate clothes on, a leash on the dog and venture out in your backyard you instead let the 12 week old puppy out on his own? Now he's lost and a sob case on FB for a sight for lost doggys. You sir, are a loser! And those commenting about 'oh...don't judge, my puppy got off his leash too'! Ok...first off, I'm gonna judge! It's human nature to judge, as it's how we process what is around us to make safe calculated decions. My safe and calculated decision in this instance is that the owner is a selfish tool. Second, the tool of an owner never mentioned he put the dog on a leash. His excuse of an ad on Kijiji (sounds like it's a tween's FB post by the punctuation, or lack of!) doesn't mention a leash. Just say's 'let the dog out to pee' at 2:30 am! iI February.!...did I mention the 'dog' is a 12 week old puppy, the size of my foot? And yes, I get that many dog owners let their dogs out to pee, sans leash...but these dogs KNOW their home, their owner, etc. A 12 week old puppy doesn't! I pray someone found the dog and is keeping it, as this guy doesn't deserve it back....I'm sick and tired of the news stories of somebody's 'mistake' resulting in an animal dying...(i.e. the dog walker that killed 6 dogs). These are not mistakes. A mistake is leaving the milk on the counter, or forgetting a slip on your taxes. A 'mistake' doesn't result in the lose of a life, even an animal. So you miss your 'buddy' and want him back? Tough. Next time take care of your 'buddy' and maybe you won't lose him...god I hope you don't procreate! —Lazy cat owner
