It was easy to see your sorrow over the decapitated sunflower. I was glad to have overheard so that I could give you the sunflower piece of mind that you needed. To ease your instant pang of utter disappointment in humanity. To stop the sinking of your heart. It was never my plan, to decapitate the sunflower, and it wasn't something that felt very lovely either. It was the sort of thing that makes you question yourself and makes you feel poetic and heartbreakingly romantic at the same time. Cutting down a flower? It was the biggest sunflower I've ever seen. The summer shaped it well. I had to do what I did - I harvested many seeds. Seeds for many more beautiful flowers. Perhaps someday I will give you some. or leave some hanging for you if I ever find a letter. Maybe I will plant forgetmenots next spring as well.
