You put me through hell and back. You betrayed my trust & I left you, finally. I've dated other people, but they're just not you. You're probably happy with someone else now. I can't help but miss you. —Love you til the end

It seems every year someone snags our pumpkin off the steps in front of our door on Falkland. This year it was, if I do say so myself, a beauty. That $5 investment off the side of a road in The Valley got the yank and I suppose if we're dumb enough to keep putting one there without chaining it down... (?) The frustration though is; it was only there for three nights fer crissakes! and it's only October 9th! Can we at least get to the teens of the month intact? This is a "Love" though and not a "Bitch" because before we knew it not one, but two, of the uber-generous in the neighborhood saw our hand-written plea to the perps and both anonymously deposited fresh, new, and gorgeous pumpkins on the step. Amazing! It almost doesn't matter if someone walks away with those tomorrow, the fall already has a highlight. Thanks for your kindness Pumpkin Fairy and Pepper the Schnoodle! Much appreciated by the kids of the house, and the parents... —Undone Glum

Since moving down the street from a local coffee shop, I have frequented the raddest, most awesome coffee shop around. I come here to chill, work on school stuff, relax, and for the past year try and have awkward conversation with one of the Barista boys. I keep thinking, maybe I will ask you about Kings, because you wear a Kings shirt, but I am not quite sure how to start. Now on the day I had planned on asking you for coffee, you aren't here and I haven't seen you for a month or two. Even if I never get up the courage to actually do it, just know that I appreciate your sense of humour and your smile makes my day 100% better. —Your presence is all too uncommon now.

One year ago you kissed me at the bus stop. My heart fluttered in that moment and has been full of love ever since. Thank you for loving me, supporting me and for never giving up on us. One year is a huge milestone but just a brief moment in time when I think of all the years we have left together. You are my family, my best friend and my one true love. My day always brightens when I come home to your warm embrace and fall asleep in your arms (except when I make you too warm). I love you now and forever. — Crazy Bird

I love the Canadian senate; I love how it never challenges parliament on anything. I love how it costs the government millions of dollars per year. I love how all the people who are senators are appointed and that they are paid six figures per year. I love there sense of entitlement. I love how some of them actually take more money than they are allowed even though they make more money than they deserve. I am not being sarcastic; I am a complete fuckin’ moron though. Just like all the people who believe the senate serves a purpose. I love all my ideological brethren. —Virgil

To the lady at the Emergancy Animal hospital Saturday night. Words can not express how greatful we where when the staff informed us of your donation to our bill. We where all dealing with the heart ack of our pets in distress yet you where still able to open your heart and reach out to us without so much as a word & left the hospital before we where even informed. Your donation help with the cost but you act of kindness was priceless and will not be forgotten. Thank you, all the best to you and your little guy, hope he pulls through. —Thankful Pet owners

I was in a big hurry to get somewhere last saturday and grabbed the first bus that came along spring garden going dt, the #80. When I got on I asked how close he will get to ocean towers. He said scotia square. When I was getting off at scotia square, he offered to drive me closer, seeing that I was clearly in a hurry. Thank you so much Mr. bus driver, you saved me a lot of time! —Always runnin' late girl

Thank-you for bringing Dan to Halifax and giving us all a great night of hilarious sexual commentary, he's really a great speaker and a smart guy - I've been reading his column in the coast for ten plus years and it was cool to watch him answering audience questions live. There were some serious moments, some thought provoking moments, but mostly it was just really freakin funny and a great time. I'll bet that dude that got to see the pic on his cell phone won't be forgetting that any time soon - but we're not supposed to talk about that...mum's the word. Happy 20 years! —Hoist

On Sept 6 the grumpy gremlins attacked me at the Mumford Rd bus stop by the Walmart. I apologize this thank you has taken so long, however I shattered my elbow. I want to thank the young man who came to my rescue to try to help me. Also, the security guards from the Halifax Shopping Centre, the paramedics and the emergency staff at the hospital. Also, the fourth floor orthopaedic ward. May good karma shine on you the rest of your days. —Injured
