That's what I wish I said. you were so sweet, you chatted with me, took my photo at Dal O Week and I froze. You made me laugh. You were so kind and cute, but I froze. I don't even remember your name, just that your hand tattoo said Love. I wish I didn't freeze up. Thanks for the photo, are you single?

I was hanging out with my daughter looking at the jewelry and you struck up a conversation with me. I wanted to talk for the rest of the day with you.

I was waiting in line at checkout right behind you. I saw the container of chocolate name-brand ice cream with your stuff and I said "Man, that stuff is so good isn't it?" Which started a brief conversation about how good that ice cream is and the insane amounts of it we go through.
Then I kinda zoned out into my own world while the cashier rang in your groceries. Next thing I know, the cashier hands me the container of ice cream and said "that guy said to give this to you." After a few moments of complete confusion, I realized how absolutely nice of you it was to just give your ice cream to some random dude behind you. I also realized you were pretty cute too. That really made my night man! Wish I could've thanked you!

Dear lady with a white bike on campus, who trapped my break line in your bike lock:
Thank you for responding to my not-so-nice, first day of school anxiety-filled note that I left on your bike with such kindness. You reminded me that I need not be so hostile and that good people (and bikers) do exist in Halifax. You changed my whole day around.

I spoke to you briefly. You were absolutely gorgeous. Your mismatched bikini had a black top and striped bottoms. I was absolutely gaga and you were even more beautiful with how sweet you were with your daughter. I didn't see a wedding or engagement band...I assumed you are single?

It’s been almost two years. I miss my partner and my best friend. I miss being silly with you. I miss our little family. We had some stupid arguments. I wish I hadn’t been so stubborn. So many outside factors and stress wrecked our shelter. We were both tired of trying. You used to say you’d come for me in the future. I’ve been trying to reach out. You used to ask me to sing for you, and I was too shy. I just want to sing you love songs and make you breakfast. I want you back.

My news has been extreme lately—from crappy to great—but my friends, you take it in and always respond with a kind word. We're in our 50s and you have time for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I like it when you call me in the morning.
I like it when you show up on time or early.
I like your white teeth so nice and pearly.
I love it when you go the long way.
Pick me up and take me to work with you all day.
Every time I see a vehicle similar to yours I think of you.
If you read this and you know who I am...
You could dial my digits and we could grab some grub!

My own damn fault: I wore my prescription sunglasses into the surf on Natal Day Monday at Rainbow Haven. I got caught by a wave and the glasses were torn from my face. My girlfriend and I looked for the rest of the day, trying to spot them on the beach or in the water. Without any expectation, I alerted the lifeguard and gave her my cell number.
You found them—black prescription Oakleys with a purple stripe —and took them to her. She texted me just as I was leaving the beach. Shock and delight!
Thank you so much for that. You were my Natal Day miracle.
