I was having a horrible day. You know, the day you wake up late, don't have time for breakfast, miss your bus, your hair's a mess and you're late for wok (and that's just the first hour). We all get those days. My day was getting seemingly worse. But on to 2 separate occasions 2 women went out of their way to tell me I have beautiful eyes. 1 even attempted to argue I wore contacts. That made me laugh. It made me feel better about myself. And made my day a little brighter. I got some much needed smiles that day and I thank you guys for it. —Green Eyes

To the folks who organized, made donations to and/or attended a benefit auction at a little place on the waterfront on Saturday night... what an amazing night for a family and little man dealing with challenges that they could not control. I am not part of the family but, as a mama, it made my heart happy to feel the love in the room that night. And, although I wasn't the winning bidder (but oh so close) on one of those jerseys signed by a local guy who just so happened to score a goal that was absolutely golden ... I still left with a smile on my face. Thanks to all who helped to make a difference that night, but most of all...
