You've been gone for decades.  Now you return, after partying your way through TO for the last few weeks.  Bring us you—tired, bleary and with your cross-eyed kitty—and we'll give you our beaches, a vibrant North End, new musicals and theatrical horizons and a family thrilled to see you home. Donairs after you unpack! —Two little kids and the fabulous O-girls

All these haters, see you later.

Hey bub (yes, you!). I'm hoping that maybe you will read this on a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning while I'm away at work. Maybe you're snuggling with our kitties, or maybe you're getting high and enjoying the comforts of our new mattress and bed (which you built for us!). Whatever it is you're up to, remember that I love you, that we're soulmates, that you're my very best friend, and we will always have each other. I hope you have the best day, and where ever I am, I am counting the minutes until I get to see you again. I love you. —A

Once in a while I see a man on his bike around Cunard or Bell Road, with a red trailer following behind. There’s no kid in the trailer—but an adorable beagle. He’s usually going by too quickly for me to get my phone out and take a video, but believe me when I say it is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. I saw him at the Common on Tuesday and thought about saying hi, but I was too shy. If you are reading this, please know you and your dog make my day whenever I see you two riding along. —Beagle Admirer

Thank to everyone who showed my daughter support at her yard sale/lemonade stand in support of our dog’s leg brace. We really appreciate all the well wishes, and donations. Much love. I love Scotians. —A Happy Mama

To the four ladies that ask if they could join me on the bench to enjoy their meal from ribfest, you made my Canada Day! I was going to go home but joining you for beers at the Stubborn Goat maybe my night. My only regret was not getting your number. Hopefully we will meet at again. — The Guy Without The Boat

To the little blonde at the Common who told me to have a happy Canada Day, who I gave a grave look to, who responded with a look of shock, maybe dread even...

I'm sick, just wanted some fireworks footage, was miserable among everyone there and right before you said that, I thought "I can't get along with anyone,” which was then proven.

You didn't do anything wrong. I’m an asshole. —Piece of gutter shit
